Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The crucifixion. I made the water and blood appear sorta as when Jesus appeared in the Divine Mercy devotion. Indeed a great act of mercy, his head is leaning towards the Good Thief, St. Dismas, to show his mecy towards him, the other thief refused (Gesmas). We also have St. John the Apostle, St. Mary Magdeline, Our Blessed Mother and St. Longinus, the roman soldier who pierced Jesus' heart with the Holy Lance. St. Longinus was healed spiritually the water and blood that poured forth by this act and believed, proclaiming Jesus to truly be the Son of God. "And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do' ...It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last" (Lk 23:33-46). "'Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures' (1 Cor 15:3)" (CCC, 619). A chibi-fied hero of Hyrule! This was the first time using a free art program called Krita. It's a bit different than what I'm used to but has many features and I could get it to do most everything I needed. Unfortunately, the illustration wound up looking washed out and dull so I took to Photoshop to punch up the vibrancy. So, for that reason, I'm not really sure if this is even any good! Seems ok for an experiment, I guess.

This piece came out in an attempt to make sense of the world around me after discovering that I have autism and a few processing disorders. I’ve always had a hard time in relation to people and now it makes sense, but wrapping my mind around who I am and what people want is a challenge. Acyrlic paint. Emotionally speaking, this is definitely the hardest pieces I've made so far. On July 18th, 2019, an arson attack on Kyoto Animation's Studio 1 left 36 dead and 34 injured, one of the deadliest mass casualty incidents in Japan since the end of WWII. KyoAni has some of the best working conditions in the industry and have made some of the most iconic anime to date, including Clannad, A Silent Voice, and the show that got me started on anime, Violet Evergarden (as seen in this drawing). I sent this drawing to them through their website, and there's a good chance it was displayed along with thousands of other fan submissions in Kyoto this past November as part of a public memorial service. While this was a tragic blow to the company and community, they're healing and getting back to their feet, and I can't wait to see what they create next.

Appropriationnisme ou le « Remake » Édouard Manet : le déjeuner sur l’herbe Français : L’Appropriationnisme ou le « Remake » est un concept simple. En effet, il suffit de reprendre le travail d’un artiste et signer la nouvelle production de son nom. Il ne s’agit, en aucun cas, de copier l’œuvre comme pourrait le faire un faussaire. Il ne s’agit pas non plus de plagier l’œuvre. En ce qui me concerne, j’utilise l’œuvre célèbre d’un artiste reconnu. En réutilisant une œuvre originale préexistante et célèbre, condition sine qua non, je propose de rendre un hommage. Il ne s’agit en aucun cas d’un manque d’inspiration surtout lorsque l’on sait maintenant que : « l’art naît de l’art et non de la nature » : Ernst Gombrich. Dans cette série, j’ai voulu revisiter des œuvres célèbres en utilisant ma technique graphique de l’éloge de l’approximation mettant en évidence la problématique de la défaillance et de la mémoire vaporeuse. It is not a question of copying the work as a forger could do. It is not a question of plagiarizing the work. As far as I'm concerned, I use the famous work of a recognized artist. It is by no means a lack of inspiration especially when we now know that: "art is born of art and not of nature": Ernst Gombrich. Here is my recreation of Adam using pointillism. I can't quite figure out how to draw the foot, so it turned out cartoonish, but well, I tried.

This is the very first charcoal portrait I ever made. I think I spent about 25 hours on this piece over the course of a week. Portrait Model is a Japanese singer (Gackt) and a reference photo was used. Size is 18x24 inches.

(Old art) Quick sketch of a friend's OC. In return, they made me one (1) meme, if I remember correctly. Though the drawing was fun and the meme was rather amusing, my artistic dignity is more important than receiving payment to create art. As you can see, I prefer more to show off my older art, as I have more gems from my old days of yore, yet I personally believe that I have some recent sketches that are absolute gems, and deserve to be put upon this glimmering community soon.

I wanted to try and do a digital piece of a ferret and incorporate winter clothes while using a limited palette I found on Adobe Draw. This was a lot of fun!

The inspiration for this collection came from a conversation I had with the Founder and Executive Director of the Underprivileged And Underserved Foundation (UAUF), George Goodwine. While discussing race and whether or not every opportunity was fair based upon someone’s familial structure or “starting line,” I was asked the following questions. How does someone overcome these hurdles? How can the playing field be leveled to make things fairer, when others may only have 50 hurdles to overcome in the same competition? My response was simple. “The person in front of 150 hurdles has two choices. They can either get discouraged before they begin, or start jumping. In the midst of the race they might get tired, unsure, or discouraged, but if they press on to the finish line they may become more physically fit than the person who jumps over 50.” I used to dance ballet and at the time, there were a lot of hurdles I had to overcome solely based upon inconveniences that came with being raised in low-income, single parent home. Above are pencil sketches and sharpie drawings that I have drawn from actual photos. I plan on making these images my own by adding more abstraction and vibrant color to them. A contour drawing was added using white ink, to convey the meaning behind the haiku (note: the word "the" was added by using semi-opaque tape to remove the word from a different newspaper article). The piece was scanned into Adobe Photoshop for small adjustments, to prepare for printing.

Sometimes, a good goodbye is also a fresh hello. As we wrapped up our "Sacred Spaces" paintings, I asked our student teacher to design a one-day project—something playful, earthy, and engaging to ease the class into her care. She brought mud. Literally. Using mud and simple stencils, students pressed images—flowers, insects, wings—onto the sidewalk behind our school. There's something timeless about making marks with the ground itself. It felt ancient and immediate at the same time. These prints won’t last long, but maybe that’s the point. A fleeting image, a shared laugh, a new hand guiding the next phase of learning. Art is about making marks. Not all of them need to be permanent.

This one's still in progress . I'm trying different pencils out and for this I'm using Amazon basics . They're a bit tricky to work with but so far I think it's coming out ok ...

I just discovered Chartpak markers and am in love; they are truly awesome to work with. The colors are so rich and never streaky. So if you didn't guess, this was done using Chartpaks and a Gelly Roll Glaze Black pen.

This picture shows the game design (level design) of the game Telf Ag. In this case, it is an island, which is to be developed during the game in the business simulator.

A character that will be appearing in my game "Cryptid Collector." Scout is a T-Rex like creature that is very helpful (sometimes too helpful) too his tamer. He has a habit of wandering off and causing trouble. Despite his fearsome teeth he can be overly friendly and trusting.

Inspired by the Irworobong design (korean palace folding screen) during my Korea trip. Since I made the trip in spring, with flowers abundant, I thought to use the five mountain peaks as five petals to form a flower.

My favourite Lappish activity - moving with these traditional skis through the snow. Sometimes you might be crashing into trees or into each other and sometimes you might loose a binding and sink into the deep snow, but it’s always fun and exciting.

So I wanted to draw something fun since Hazbin finally came out! Looking forward to Jan 26 and Feb 2 that's when they release the next set of episodes. Alastor definitely was not disappointing...so far. It airs on Amazon Prime if your interested, great show for adults.
