This artwork was supposed to be a self portrait but it quickly turned into a more charming, awesome stylized portrait (not mine, obviously). This piece has a color scheme similar to midnight gospel and katana zero (video game), I have added the blue and pink color shades to make it a little bit interesting. A quick doodle. I want to get into landscape drawings as well. I bought a Staedtler Mars Technico lead holder. It feels cheap in my hand. I've been using Nic Pro lead holders from amazon - they feel solid. The hexagon shape sits well in my hand. The leads that come with them - they lay down well.
I always enjoy making characters, but with a traditional medium, this is my first digital character design or more of a cartoon. This character is inspired by the vampire genre with the color scheme of pink and blue, the cartoony inspiration is from television series such as adventure time, Rick and Morty, and midnight gospel.

I did not use a reference :/ so yeah that's kind of a problem but it's ok... I used HB for the sketch, 2B for shading, and 4B for the eyebrows and eyelashes. I just noticed that I forgot to put a reflection of the lashes on the eyes...
This was originally meant to be a watercolor doodle intended for the weekly drawing prompt with "coffee" but didn't quite turn out the way I expected it to. Decided to just submit it into my regular gallery instead. I really like the way the froth on the top of the cup came out. Looks tasty ^^
