I've been so impressed with the ball point pen art that I have seen on this site, that I decided to give it a try. This is a Betta fish (Siamese fighting fish) done in red, blue, and purple ball point pens. Obviously, I have much to learn....but it was great fun and I have ordered some more colors since I plan on experimenting more. I've enclosed a photo of the work in progress and the various reference photos I used. The colors are more true to the final scan than in the flash photo of my drawing table.

My very first complete Watercolor painting: The Holy Spirit! in humanoid form instead of dove form. Of course God is love so I have his heart and the 3 flames are 3 because the Trinity. The Holy Spirit can take any form He wants and so I've always thought he also has like a spiritual humanoid form, I mean he can't just always be in dove form. :P I tried watercoloring in the past but never seriously, I don't even remember what I tried but I never finished anything, I just remember how frustrating the coloring process was and had many bleed throughs. That's why I've always prefered Acrylic. This time I gave it a try though after watching some videos with tips n tricks. I painted it on some small postcard sized watercolor paper. It's our Mother of Jesus! Child Version! ^_^ Our order actually has a devotion to the Child Mary as well as the Child Jesus. It's all about being little and realizing our calling as Children of God. When I draw these little cutesy things it helps me to remember to be little, to not take things so seriously all the time. By the grace of God they give me joy. :) Remember, be little! Peace

Sometimes we just gotta take things less seriously and be little. :) So this is me Animal Crossing style! What makes this style particular? Triangle noses, and spoons for hands big enough to scoop up tons of Gelato icecream! :p

I like Pigs! ^_^ Didn't you know? They make me laugh, lol. In high school I asked my friends and others to draw me pigs so I could make a pig book. I got at least 30 I think. lol. I've always liked the pigs in Windwaker but recently I found out about a rare type of pig called the Mangalista pig! It's furry! As you can see, lol (google search to see what they really look like because I did a cartoon version obviously lol). They kinda are like a Sheep Pig. So yeah, this is ToonLink if he were a Shepard boy or something, kind of like a Rancher (that's why he's wearing the Rancher outfit Link wore in Twilight princess.) He got a tan too (i didn't have a non-rose skin color marker lighter then that, haha). :) If your up for it take the Draw a Pig challenge! :P

This is a mess I made with Monet's Crimson Red and Ultramarine Blue paint tubes. Wet on wet technique and a bit of a mindlessly overdone splatters.

Sly is a cute monster that's always near you~ He's usually shadow black so people won't mind his bleeding eyes~

Carrots from the Marin Agricultural Institute Bounty Box I signed up for so that I can get out for a good bike ride once a week. I used to get my weekly ride in going to the art studio. This needs more darks, but time and energy have seriously been low this last week.

I made an OC using Pastel Friends and I decided to draw it.

Poppies are among my favorite flowers---vibrant AND delicate. Great swaths of "bread poppies" garnish our garden. We harvest seeds for lemon-seed cake and poppy-seed rolls. (No, we don't harvest that other stuff.) They reseed generously and we have beautiful crops of red and purple flowers each year. I've been working on this colored pencil drawing for the past week. Enclosed are some images of the progress over that time.

The silver lining of this shelter in place is my daily afternoon walk to put my son down for a nap in his stroller. In our previously scheduled life, he would fall asleep on the drive home from school. These are non native eucalyptus and my beloved favorite tree, a Monterey pine, on a shady side trail of Golden Gate Park.

Even though I went to art school, I’ve never stopped continuously learning. This sketch was a study on value in sketching. Book was borrowed from a local library.

I don’t know, I doodled on my hand and took a photo of it and edited it. I personally think it looks cool but that’s just my opinion. -I have depression, and have been/am a cutter so that explains the words written.

I previously eyeballed the dimensions of this book at 4x6 when I had no ruler to verify but I was slightly wrong. Now the info is exact. :)

Random doodle, I was obviously a little hungry.

I have been listening to astrophysicist's broadcasts a lot this days. Few I like the most are Joe Rogans's with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Brian Cox, Sean Carroll. They talk about obviously space, extra terrestrial life but also religion, people, psychology. I realised that when you think at cosmos level or at subatomic level, the things we worry about in day to day life feel very less compared to the vastness out there or in us. So I think it is very important to get out of the city, to find clear sky and look at the stars up there. It gives a surprising energy which I don't know how to describe but feels powerful.
