I tried to depict a glowing rainbow bottle, but the glow looks more like that of an incandescent bulb. Yeah, the missing set of blue markers didn't help either. I'd really love to hear any suggestions

It was International Friendship Day yesterday, so I made a little something. Pokémon is a huge part of my childhood, and I'd like to draw something for it. Concept illustration for my ongoing personal project, a graphic novel entitled “Oneironauts”. It follows the misadventures of Corvidhir and his two unlikely companions as they navigate the bridge between reality and the dream world.
"No matter how life gets you down, don't forget to smile." Approx. 5" x 5.5". Watercolor and ink. Depicted is my version the Joker, driven mad by solitude. Alone with his thoughts, he envisions things claimed to be impossible and understands that the spark of a thought is what makes things truly real. It is in this, he finds comfort and a reason to keep smiling.
It’s been a crazy summer that’s kept me from posting much, although I’ve kept fairly consistent drawing in my sketchbook. With a cross country move and taking our oldest child to college, we’ve burned about 4,500 miles on the road in the past month. After getting our son settled in his dorm yesterday, my husband and I have become official members of the Empty Nesters Club - giving inspiration to today’s sketchbook entry.

It’s like the first «stand-alone” work (meaning not as a part of the lettering course). Btw I haven’t made it to the faux calligraphy lesson yet being stuck with the serifs. Used the tracing paper on top of the initial sketch.
P. S. As for the shovels: in Russia we have long holidays at the beginning of May and that’s when the whole gardening thing starts
