This is a concept sketch for an illustration. Awhile ago, I wrote a story about a child who's kept home alone during the day. She makes the sun her "imaginary friend."

In case this is the first drawing of mine that you see, I like to use dark and heavy outlines. It really limits the sense of a real life animal. I’m trying to change my style, but it’s hard. Hopefully I can start to progress
My sister is a writer and I am an artist, so we've teamed up to work on a children's book together. This is a draft of the first page, which will eventually be illustrated with watercolor and digital elements.
This ring features a design element referred to as 'scrolling'. An intricate feature, scrolling is a common feature in antique Victorian rings. Scrolling is an excellent way to add embellishment and style to the shank of a ring.
This is just a doodle to play with pens. I get all kinds of pens, new and used, from friends mostly. I don't put these in the sketchbook, it's too intimidating. This is just a little scrap of used paper from drawing practice, 2 ballpoints, and a few neon gelpens
My friend is no longer a single dad. His amazing son just died in a car accident. I have to do something ..so I'm doing this.
