Majestic

It is a surreal yet transcendent experience when massive creatures remind us just how small we really are.

A rererework I finally liked. Opinions are welcome. Done with Kuretake brushes and gel pens. I used a photo from Girli as a reference.

Facade

"Facade" depicts the duality between constructed appearance and natural image. The old woman manifests societal idealization of beauty within her headpiece, burdened by the intricacy. Aesthetically pleasing symbols around her echo the notions of her manifested identity. This facade subconsciously contributes to continuing superficial values.

Fractal City - Part One

My original character, Yomi, has a fascination with light. These lamps you see might look familiar to you, but Yomi is among the first to discover the beauty of colored light. He shares it with the neighbors in his town and the eyes of dazzled passerbys. ---- 1/3 part of a new series called Fractal City.

Watercolor and Linocut illustrations
1/5

Due to financial/logistical reasons, I can't do literal linocuts as often as I'd like, so I draw my illustrations in reverse, flip them digitally, have them printed, and then color them in by hand. The result is basically an "artist's print". I only make one of each. These were watercolor, but I've recently discovered gouache, so keep an eye out for future pieces that incorporate that.

starry night copper plate 7x7

7'x7' copper plate decorated by myself using acrylic paint and coated with paint protection gloss. Safe to use as an ashtray, rolling tray, or decorative plate. This is my take on the starry night painting. I bought the little tray and decides to recycle it. After painting and glossing I personally tested this product out to be sure of the the safety in the product. It can be cleaned with a damp cloth. This is not safe for putting food on, but it's great for kitchen decoration. Rocket Man

I drew this for my sons bedroom wall, it’s inspired by the Beatles yellow submarine and includes an all seeing eye in keeping with the surreal nature of the 70s animation.
