Looking at Trichrug hill from the top of Pen Arthur Forest. This was my first attempt at pen and wash in 2018. I was pleased with it for an initial effort. I struggle to be loose with my art, so this was a step forward. The only thing that really bugs me was my colour choice for the distant hills - it looks more like the sea.

ZENTANGLE GIRL

Yesterday I saw my good friend and I went to the park(I see her all the time but this time our mom and little siblings came) and it was just like old times we played laser tag with the littles, and talked, and swung on swings and climbed trees and it was so fun so I drew us afterwards. I also drew our masks halfway on so we could see our faces. I HATE COVID! I also really dislike wearing masks and distancing and stuff so this is a way of getting around that. Idk if that makes sense.

Charcoal and graphite. I drew this while standing in the woods for over an hour. The light kept changing as the sun was going down. Fortunately, I was able to capture some dramatic shadows!

My husband got me the Copic 24 color manga illustrator set for Christmas. I wanted to draw a magical girl, but didn’t want to do a traditional one. So I thought of a sporty girl who hates dresses turning into a magical girl.

Sketching expression is important to me. I think this one succeeded. More often I miss the mark. Guess that is the price paid for sticking with art through thick and thin.

"English as She is Spoke" is a delightful example of incompetence and bad judgement. Jose da Fonseca and Pedro Carolina set out to write a Portuegese-English phrasebook. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. "Nobody can add to the absurdity of this book, nobody can imitate it successfully, nobody can hope to produce its fellow; it is perfect, it must and will stand alone: its immortality is secure." This is a combination drawing of 1-3 of inktober2020 Its a take on a campy scifi villain and his plucky assistant, as well as the goofy ghost always interrupting their plans. 1. Fish 2.Wisp 3.Bulky. Done with pen and alcohol marker.

Ta-da! Finally done! This was inspired by my annual back to school shopping trip in August with my mom, my siblings, and my grandma. The sign is a bit of a clue to that, the heart is similar for he logo of one of my favorite stores (until they closed last month), and the tan thing in the corner reminds me of the dusty playground we stop at between stores. The hair clip, butterflies, and purple corner (it's really a hair extension) are all from my favorite accessory store. The railing is for the walkway between stores and I don't really have to explain the shirt, skirt, pants, and shopping bag. No trip is complete without a bucket of pretzels to eat on the way home! Anyway, I hope you like my art!

Sore wrist makes for slow productivity. This is once again Amar and Augustine. This time in a different setting. When my hubby and I play with these characters we end up sticking them into different settings and situations just to see how they will behave and how their relationship develops under different circumstances.

It's Our Lady of Amercia! It's one of my favorite devotions to Our Blessed Mama in Christ. She called the United States to Purity and a good Family life. The messages also focused on a devotion to the Holy Family (Earthly Trinity) and a focus on the Trinitarian Indwelling (Since the Holy Spirit cannot be separated from the Father and the Son it goes to show that the whole Trinity has a part in our interior life). I made this with watercolor, a touch of white/tan acrylics and a lil black pen dab for the pupils. The piece covers the struggle that the LGBTQ+ community had to face over the last few centuries to get to the point where we are today - and although it isn't perfect yet, a lot of progress has been made. The articles in the background all reflect key moments in this progression including Stonewall. The two male peacocks - evident through their colourful feathers - represent the community as it stands today and is a representative of the progress made.

And here it is: The Transfiguration! in color ^_^ Elijah and Moses with Jesus and the Apostles from left to right: James the Greater, John and Peter. I have his stigmata in gold because we hadn't recieved the wounds yet but this vision is a big revelation and confirmation of His divinity and mission so I put some signs there, but the apostles would not yet understand, but after they would. Matthew 17: 1-9 [1] And after six days Jesus taketh unto him Peter and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart: [2] And he was transfigured before them. And his face did shine as the sun: and his garments became white as snow. [3] And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elias talking with him. [4] And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. [5] And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him. [6] And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face, and were very much afraid. [7] And Jesus came and touched them: and said to them, Arise, and fear not. Ok made the 2nd Mystery of the Mysteries of Light: The Wedding of Cana. Also an important revelation and the prime miracle that started Jesus' "hour". I definately spent much more time on the Baptism because of it's important icon significance but I found some good lil inspiration for this too, a bit more simple but nice. ^_^ Oh and if you don't know the story: John Chapter 2 1 And the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. 4 And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye. 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece. 7 Jesus saith to them: Fill the waterpots with water.
