I created this card for someone to bring to a Law of Attraction event. I drew the flower, came up with the phrase, and then set the type. The blue background is iStock.
Lots of quality family time so no sketching today, instead I will post up a drawing I made last month while procrastinating because it was far too hot for housework and I was dreaming of going back to the beach.
Coloured pencils used to create a Victorian scene. This is my other style of artwork. Previous posts are based on reality, but I do a lot of little illustration style drawings from my imagination. Thanks for looking.
I have neglected posting for too long! "Abstract Forest" will be uploaded to all my sites over the next day or so, so keep checking back for clothing, pillows, and more with the new print!!! The original drawing is going to be for sale at a local art show (if my application passes). Find all my art product sites here: https://linktr.ee/okhismakingart
Lurking under the sea, she waits... Made using ink and coffee on hand-cut watercolor paper measuring 5x7 inches (C)2018. (In the collection of Candice C.)
This piece was commissioned by a coworker. It was a very large piece at 24"by26" on green leather. I used an acrylic base and then completely covered that with oils. It becomes very dusty when dried so I added many layers of a spray varnish for oils on top. The color remained nice and vibrant.
Graphite drawing of Ruth Ellis. She was the last woman in Britain to be hanged, in the 1950s. British justice was no where near as sophisticated then, as it is now. I am convinced that the overwhelming mitigating circumstances would have saved her life. Her confession was never examined or questioned. Today she would have received a manslaughter charge at most. Such a tragedy.
Second up in the "uploading progress pieces since I get questions about my art process" is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle print I'm working on for a convention. This is the rough sketch, next up I'll clean it up and do my guide lines for inking. Hopefully I won't have to redraw Donatello
