I would like to place a red rose somewhere in the vicinity of the red circle. Should I make the background darker than the Friesian, lighter (grey-ish) than the Friesian, or keep it how it is? Any opinions/comments would be very helpful.

First experiment using a pair of Japanese calligraphy pens that I recently got. Finished off with a charcoal pencil.

Graphite sketch of a photo sent from a friend

"The rumor that Elory Andara, the firstborn of her parents, a descendant of one of the most powerful magic wielders of the continent, didn't have the Gift spread quickly, but it wasn't entirely true. Elory did have magic, but it was weak, almost non-existent. No matter how many times she tried, no matter how much she struggled, she could cast nothing but a weak spark." --- An illustration for a personal project

Still life I painted a few years back.

Just practicing.

It’s impressive what a couple minutes abstract sketch is capable of. Ink (Pigma Graphic 1) and watercolor on plain paper.

Started studying more or less regularly. That is, every day

I've missed posting on Doodle addicts and checking out everyone's work. My paid work took over last week. I started this doodle in the beginning of the week and it became more of a "pen painting."

I was sketching some emotions and one of the sketches has gone too far and developed into a complete piece.

(In)secure Some days I put on my "business outfit". Just so I look like I got it together and then I will start feeling that way too. That is: until I become a wreck in a business suit. January 2020. Pastel on A3 paper

Flowers. Watercolour and gouache studies. Painted along with an art stream. :) Feb. 4, 2020.

(4B pencil on a 125mm x 105mm sheet of toilet paper) To commemorate the UK leaving the EU, I decided to add my little "celebration" to mark the occasion, in the form of an inverted union flag, crudely drawn on a single sheet of toilet paper. A false sense of nationalism drove the UK out of the EU. It's therefore to be wondered how far that nationalism will serve the country on the outside. Probably as far as one sheet of toilet paper. "Mind how you go!"
