I wanted to do a piece that turns an insult into something more motivational. For context, to be called a strawberry is associated with being weak and sensitive, as strawberries are soft and easily bruised.

The tiny hex cutouts of this canvas were the inspiration for the turtle, and I chose to put it on a beach as the perfect excuse to have more fun with texture medium! Acrylic on custom 4" x 3.5" hexagon canvas.

The theme was 'tension' in which we had to create a work of art using brown paper bags. In the midst of high school drama and stressful testing seasons, I created this mixed media drawing of a woman screaming and pulling at her hair. The hair is made of the brown paper bags to give it depth and texture. The drawing was created on brown paper with white pen highlights.

I rarely add colors to my drawings but am dabbling in unfamiliar territory with the Krita app. I am enjoying the ability to add textures as well. For me, it is similar to drawing left handed. This is the same drawing with a different technique.

Inspired by a photo I took of a walled off area of a lake. It was grass on one side and water on the other. I love using textures from old book paper and the juxtaposition of realism and flat color.

I modified the challenge a wee bit. I didn't use the same paper for the various drawings since I was using (top row, left to right) hard graphite pencils (3H to HB), watercolor pencils, (bottom row, left to right) brush pens and ballpoint pen. These media work best on very different paper textures and moisture absorbing qualities. The second picture shows the object of my study --- and the apparatus I use to hold botanical subjects. "Third hand" tools are very useful and cheap. This one was under $10 and serves my purposes well. Just FYI. (Each drawing/painting was scanned and composited in Photoshop.)

I've been working on this since mid September. This is my first attempt at using an engraver to help with the fur texture.

During this Quarantine I have had so much fun exploring what else I can create. Using this opportunity I am creating patterns & textures and trying to sell them on a few websites.

We Puppetapostles, we keep track of what our Lord Puppet is doing, we study each of his movements, each his word is recorded and subjected to philosophical analysis. And always, again, over and over again, our conviction is strengthened every time: He is the God of eternal wisdom and the correct procedures! It is known that Puppet Zvonko - for their own entertainment - whips, branded and cuts people with a razor, often with mortal consequences. We gladly approve of it, it is reasonable to Overpower must feel comfortable and have fun, with us, miserable microbes. We are happy that we are honored with its perfect presence. For the last month, we noticed that his Torture Trinity (razor, whip, stamp) was exclusively used by one unbeliever, just a blow - two, and then Puppet goes away. I tried to catch my breath after all the running; I finally got to the bus stop. The wind was blowing vigorously, the rain clouds were approaching. It was a very typical spring morning.

I created this card for someone to bring to a Law of Attraction event. I drew the flowers on textured paper, came up with the phrase, and then set the type. I am a professional Healer so this phrase is powerful advice I give to others in my practice.

Here's a portrait of Yuko Shimizu that I'm working on for an IlloStories project (check the group out on Facebook). I took her pose from one of her photographs, then used colours, patterns and textures that were inspired by her artworks. This could be a front page for a book about her, or maybe a page for when her story reaches this point!

Every person chooses his/her own path. Somepeople help others. Some people quit. Some people settle for less. That's the theme. I always loved the textures of insects so chose it as main thing to look at. And then trekking is easiest way of seeing struggle. That's about it.
