Drawing trees and other landscape elements was my daily routine for the last two months.
For two months, I've been developing my style.
It's essential to create consistently in one style for a long time. It's the way you get to know better:
- yourself,
- what you like,
- what you enjoy.
I changed the composition, types of silhouettes, and background texture a few times.
I didn't have any expectations about the finished work. It was a creative flow with many changes. I think the creative process looks like this.
Don't be afraid to try.
If you make your art digitally, it's simple. You can:
- create a new layer,
- use shortcut Ctrl+Z.
In traditional art, it depends on the art supplies you use. Sometimes you can try more times. Sometimes you need to start again.
But any attempt is better than giving up.
This is a work in progress! I decided to use those Adobe apps for the first and perhaps last time because of the app shutting down. This art style is inspired by Looney Tunes + Don Bluth. Please enjoy!
Various days for Inktober 2020. Coral, dizzy, and rip and dig. I had fun detailing different monsters. Dizzy is a cross between a siren and wraith, rip and dig can survive in extreme climates and hide underground for years until it's time to Fred. This jazzy creature was inspired by the many butterflies in my garden. The weather has been so sunny and warm recently. What better way to while away the lockdown hours than to spend time with nature.
I made this as a reminder for myself. My past and my environment might hurt me, but inside I am safe, I am enough, I am okay, I am minee. I am composed. I am more than just a label.
