I drew a London Street Building, source from pinterest using the freehand sketch method. The story behind this sketch is that I drew it with a hesitation feeling, you can feel it when you see how my lines were drawn to create the brick texture.

I know that the river is a little off the perspective that the painting is done in, but everything else looks to scale.

Doodling of the Day

As awesome as summer and winter are, I love the transitional seasons the best, especially fall. It's the best time to do sports, orienteering, bird watching, hikes. The crisp air feels so good, and I love the rustle of the dead leaves and grasses on a windy day. While sometimes I get sad to see the branches bare, I also love looking at and analyzing their structure. I find it fascinating that a tree can go from this mighty, fluttering thing to a spindly, knobby structure and remain fundamentally unchanged. It's a bit of a miracle

MUSIC MAN'S TREE

I actually saw this on a walk one day...minus the dragon. A new tree was growing from the center of a stump. Nature is awesome.

Painted as my final project for my Painting Environments course. I was super nervous about tackling this one, but learned a ton taking this course. I'm going to do a series of comics revolving around this character, Carlyle! She's such a an arrogant little diva, and I love her. I'm just doing this to test the waters and get used to writing comics. Not sure how serious I'm going to be with it, but hopefully I'll have fun along the way : )
