Trying out new fountain pen inks through quirky doodles and water washes

Title: Windows to the Soul Medium: Ink on sketch Book Paper Size: 10” X 14” Year: 01/09/2020 This Illustration is a pulmonary design/study for a future painting. Theme was born from a poem I wrote a couple years ago, by the same title. The main massage is that Christians are to be windows that Jesus Christs can shine His light of, Love, truth, mercy, salvation, hope, new life, in to a darkened world by the power of sin. The power of sin is what subjects all creation under destruction, suffer, death, decay. The Devil, and countless fallen angel use these tools to destroy the human race. Christians Have victory, through faith in Christ, from being a salves to sin, they have obtain adoption into God’s family, and removed from the coming damnation that is for the rebellious angels and the humans. Christian still are still temped to commit sin, and still make bad choices. Christian’s sin, hinder their effectiveness to be a witnesses for God’s kingdom, their short comings are like black drapes, that hang in a widow, that hinder the sunlight from brightening and warming a dark cold room. The massage communicated by symbolism The stair well leading down with the railing around it: The railing: The 3 petal flower is a Keltic symbol for the trinity of God. The railing around the stair well: Represents, God’s desire that none should perish but to repent. It also represents that people go to hell by their own choice, through their deliberate rebellious living against God. No ne accidently end up on the wrong side of the railroad tracks. The Stairs going down: Represents sinful humanity that is separated from a holy God. Without a spiritual intervention, we all have one destination that is the lake of fire, which is the finale judgement for sin. The open glass pane door: Represents God wants humanity to except his invitation to commune with Him, receive the new life He offers to provide for them. The stair case without railings: Represents the path to TheHeaven, which must me travailed by faith. The partly open drapes hanging in the Picture widow. Represent sin that try to prevent the light of truth to penetrate the darkness of deception. The railing with the fishes and crosses: This represent the Heavenly destination of Christian. It also stand for Christian being God’s Life guard. While living in the world, their mission is to take the salvation message into all the world. The second Floor open door, the entrance filled with light: This represents the entrance to Heaven. The globe sculpture represents a world needing to be repossessed, from the power of the curse of sin. By the hand of God, it will made new, absent of rebellious angel and humans. I really liked the style that I used for one of the most recent labels I did for @abominationbrewingco and @snitzcreekbrewery so I decided to mess with it a bit more. Just a quick thing. I want to draw more animals in this style. This is for me, and my wife, and my daughter. Stay strong. This is for everyone. This is for you. Stay strong. No matter what you do on a day to day basis or what you go through. You are a strong person.

As fun as it is, creating new OCS can be quite challenging especially if you don't have any names or personalities for them at all as well as not knowing what to do with them! Now then...They're called the shadow nuisances because I don't know what else to call them,they can be annoying to the peasant teenagers so,it fits.they are another race of shadow demons resembling phantoms (like Snidecious)so they're shadow phantom demons,they posses ghost like qualities too.all of them come in different sizes and shapes,they don't have noses or ears.having 5 fingers.all of them have different colored stripes in their wrists and in their ankles (I was inspired by the stripes of bees, originally they didn't have any stripes at all)they have the usual ghost abilities they can also enter dreams often causing mischief and nightmares as well as having telekinesis.like imps,they like causing trouble with people often making their lives more difficult.they don't have final forms since they can shapeshift into whatever shadow form they can think of.personalities Blue (I can't think of any actual names for them) he is mischievous,sneaky and very lazy,he likes causing trouble no matter what,he loves fun so he is active with his shenanigans with his group or with people.Purple:She is snarky and negative,she isn't a fan of fooling around,she prefers to discover what new powers she has.Orange:he is the least violent but also the most dumbest,he often questions things since he doesn't understand easily,he's also the most quietest (he likes to swallow things and then see them go through him since he doesn't have internal organs,then again in my version of hell,none of the demon OCS I create do) Pink:He is self-admiring and proud not necessarily vain,he loves his body and loves working out often kissing his own muscles which makes purple mock him for it,he loves compliments and will stop annoying a person if they flatter him.

I've been having a lot of prickly thoughts lately...but at least there's still the tiny bee who visits occasionally.

Cleaning up my flat files. Found this little drawing and I thought it was funny. But it's not important!

I visited my 6 year old's class las week to talk about what I do. They each made a little drawing and I got to put it tougher into this super fun pattern.

Rad experience joining a local drawing group for the first time yesterday although I didn't realise how inconvenient my backpack was going to be, it made me slow to set up / pack up and a few of us had to organise a locker at the gallery as we didn't know backpacks weren't allowed so I spent most of today sewing a bag/sketchbook cover which fits an A4 sketchbook, pencils, id and phone and also has some backing in it so I can easily sketch on my lap without dropping my stuff all over the place. I'm going to do a bit more work on my weird comic book page tonight but in the mean time this is my sea serpent digitally coloured, he lives at Apollo Bay and likes to sleep camouflaged amongst the lifesaver rings.

"Parts Unknown," Acrylic on Canvas, 18x24 Some actions we will never know the reason behind, and, quite honestly, we don't always need to know the answer. Anthony Bourdain committed suicide on June 8th, 2018, news that was shocking for most to hear. People continue to speculate what could have caused him to commit suicide, some feel he had more to do, to say before he died. Personally, I find there's some feeling of closure or completeness to his death. I don't know what the feeling is exactly, but it's there. It feels like he left on his own terms, decided it was time. I wouldn't consider his death as him waving a white flag to addiction and depression. He said his shows were intended to tell other's stories, tell them frankly and truthfully. It's interesting how blunt and honest he could seem to be about himself, though he kept so many layers held within. Although we'd love to have a clear cut answer, explanation, reason, what would knowing that information change?

So I had this idea for a series; fun, whimsical paintings of pet rocks. Full of personality, sweet, make you laugh, that kind of vibe. First one I draw is this. I was so horrified by it I haven't drawn another one since. I'm not kidding; I'm actually quite upset to discover I can't draw "sweet". Or maybe it was a bad day.

I want the composition to be thoughtful but on the sad side. My skill practice was brush strokes and blending (but not overdoing the blending) as I try to figure out how I stylize as an artist. Still working in the realm of realism and proportions as I am a newbie, but wanna flex into stylization a bit more. I did this through Rebelle 5, which is absolutely amazing, IMO.

Sometimes, I re-read books and they don't have the same impact as before. Sometimes, I re-read them and they hit me harder. Roadside picnic by Brothers Strugatsky made me cry. This is my favorite book by them, although I do so love Monday starts on Saturday. But this book! I wish more people would read it.

Hi, I know I've been gone for a while I have not given up on my art journey I just haven't posted about it. I Draw & Paint pretty much 4 times a week I've been working on anatomy a lot lately both drawing it and studying it through videos, and books, but this is some of my progress work so far.

A commissioned piece of original artwork for a client that I drew which incorporates various elements of strength (as chosen by the client). It also illustrates that even in dark times a light will come shining through.

This is a simple watercolor and pen drawing of a witch hazel tree in winter bloom with an owl perched on top. I love the witch hazel shrub and am thinking of creating a picture book showcasing the plant throughout the seasons.

Long story short:He is a ghost magician even though ghosts have magical powers themselves ex telekinesis teleportation invisibility shape shifting.therefore it would be pointless to be a magician however the talking book his father gave him gives him extraordinary powers never seen before .he becomes one to ultimately make people happy.I don't have an outfit for him yet but it has rainbows and stars.he doesn't wield a wand because he uses his hands.

My first venture into artist grade colouring pencils - and I'm smitten! I never thought I could achieve such boldness and blendability with them! I'm still getting used to them and will think about choosing smoother paper with less tooth next time. The texture and weight was more for the water-based gouache along with alcohol inks (which are very unforgiving to even primed heavy paper!). Apologies for the unevenness of lighting between the 2 sides of paper; will correct that when I'm making proper image files.
