Dear Friends , The Great Pumpkin Carve sponsored by the Chad Ford Historical Society is going to be held on the Thursday 18 October 2018 . Live carving is Thursday night, starting at 300PM. There is usually about 70-100 carvers, the creations of these artists are on display in a maze like setting. Other attraction are a hay ride , haunted forest display, food causations venders, live music. The event is Thursday night to Saturday night.

I almost did not participate last year because I was unemployed, and could not afford the entrance fee of $25, but The watercolor artist Andy Smith paid my entrance fee. and my sister paid my gas. Well I am unemployed again, not sure I will have the funds to enter this year. Pray the Good Lord will open the financial door that I will get the money to pay the coast to enter this year. Medusa has always been one of my favorite mythology figures . And ... well, here comes the rant , I'll never quite forgive Athena for making her like this . Ironically, I've only really seen Medusa in her monster form , and this form , in all its unique fierceness , is what I've always been attracted to . I know I'll probably get a lot pf flack for this ... so I'll just quit while I'm ahead . Enjoy the cute pic .
The work was taken by me in Portland, Oregon, USA. In the distance there is a house, a pillar on top of it has a lamp, Looking up at the sky at that time, the sunset sky looked very beautiful. The clumps of clouds drifted with the wind. Beneath the waves crashing against the shore, signaling that the tide has risen, the images in the above work make people always have to worry about the images that look very eye-catching.
Long ago a banana fell into an unknown bay and was washed out to sea. Through strange circumstances this creature evolved into an air breathing, free-swimming, sun loving, epipelagic level dwelling, migratory creature that reproduces by budding. It is rarely seen. If a predator is sensed nearby the animal folds in its fins and tail and if ever observed it is considered a water soaked piece of fruit and is usually avoided.

Ha Long Bay is a small bay on the west coast of the Gulf of Tonkin in the Northeastern Sea region of Vietnam, including the island waters of Ha Long city in Quang Ninh province.
Being the center of a large area with more or less similar elements in geology, geomorphology, landscape, climate and culture, with Bai Tu Long Bay in the northeast and Cat Ba archipelago in the southwest, Ha Long Bay is limited to an area of about 1,553 km², including 1,969 large and small islands, most of which are limestone islands, in which the core area of the bay has an area of 335 km² with a dense cluster of 775 islands. The tectonic history of the bay's limestone karst has spanned about 500 million years with very different paleo-geographical circumstances; and full karst evolution over 20 million years with a combination of factors such as thick limestone, hot and humid climate, and overall slow tectonic uplift. To be honest, wasn’t too happy with how this turned out but it’s just practice. I know I’ve got to draw like a thousand more noses to really get something decent lol. If you have any tips on how I could get better, let me know!
When I was a child, whenever I was alone or lonely, I would fantasize about having super powers and being able to fly out into the universe and do anything. In my own world, I will always be the protagonist in my own story, guarding the lights of thousands of homes, world peace.

This painting was done for my sister. She loves dolphins, and she asked me when I
would paint a picture for her. When I considered doing this painting, I thought about
how I could design an illustration that would use the names of fish to teach her the
attributes of Jesus being the Son of God and Savior of the world.
The names of the fish who reveal something about Jesus’s attributes are labeled in red,
just as in a red-letter edition Bible, the words spoken by Jesus are printed in red.
The names of the fish whose labels are blue are different breeds of angelfish.
Three dolphins represent the trinity of God—the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
The silhouette of the three men on crosses represent the price Jesus paid on the cross
to buy man out of slavery of sin and deliver man from being cast into the eternal lake
of fire.
The black-and-white fish is called a sheep head. John the Baptist called Jesus the lamb
of God, who would take away the sins of the world.
The reddish-orange fish is called a flaming angel. John said that he baptized people
with water to call themselves back to God and to repent for their sins. He said that
Jesus would baptize with fire the person called the Holy Spirit. The gold-yellow fish
is called the shepherd angel. In the Bible, Jesus is referred to be the Good Shepherd
because He takes care of His followers as a sheep herder would take care His sheep. He
provides for their needs and protects them from danger.
The brown fish with the fanned-out fins is called a lionfish. The Bible call Jesus the
lion of Judea. Jesus first came to the Earth to deliver mankind from sin by offering His
life to pay for our sin. The second time He comes, He will come to set up His earthly
kingdom and rule over all the nations for a thousand years.
The small fish with a scarlet head is called a king demoiselle fish. Jesus will have all
authority to rule over all the nations given to Him from God the Father.

SALVATION
The large orange fish with the green fins is call a rainbow parrot. The rainbow represents a covenant between man and God. Just as God put a rainbow in the sky once
the great flood ended to remind man of God’s promise not to destroy the world by
flood again. So, do we have a covenant through the blood of Jesus that if man will
accept the terms to be delivered from sin, its eternal punishment, and turn from pursuing a rebellious life toward God, God will give them eternal life.
The sleek brown-and-white fish is called a schoolmaster. Jesus spent the last three years
of His life teaching about who God is, what heaven is like, what hell is like, what sin is,
and how it keeps man separated from God. What is God’s plan to redeem man from
sin? He taught how man should live to be pleasing in God’s sight.
