Ballet dancers in coloured pastels which I don't use very often. I did this work a while ago as a test piece for the medium which I'd never used before. To be fair I don't enjoy doing pastel work myself but love to see it by other artists.
Artwork on paper. Pen, graphic pen, coffee and watercolor. Part of the Hybrid Mythologies series. Inspired by different mythologies and stories, this series is an intuitive exploration and associative drawing project with multiplicities of scenes inside each other.
One day in my frustration I scribbled over some thumb nails and proceeded to draw birds with lyrics to that song by The Eels, Birds....it was one of those days.
I love the tradition and the symbol behind a milagro heart. As part of a religious ritual or an act of devotion, milagros can be offered to a symbol of a saint as a reminder of a petitioner's particular need, or in gratitude for a prayer answered.
This sketchbook is my therapist. Not this one specifically, but any single one small enough to fit in my pocket. Finished this up. Not particularly a fan of Barcelona, but greatness is where it is. It’s funny, no matter how dark I make shadows and shading, I always feel I could have gone darker.
Small and frail, one of "Grimm" tales, naively ignoring the safer vast dales. Preferring to go the way of the dell, luring a wolf with a delectable smell. But do not be fooled, nor be misled. For there's more to this story, whose main lead is Red.
