” Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul to waste ”
I have had an idea for a long time to illustrate Sympathy for the Devil from Rolling Stones.
This start from free sketching of cloud looking lines and soon i realise they look like atom bomb cloud. Original idea was more landscape version but maybe later.
Here's the latest I've been working on, Illustration A0110. I've been messing with a cool Linocut brush I found for Procreate. Also digging the new text feature they added to the app! Made with Apple Pencil + iPad, tracked time: 7 hours and 30 minutes.
This was my submission to the recent Mother Nature doodle challenge held here. Mixed media using traditional watercolor and digital line art/embellishments. It is now available on Society6 as a print, stationery, and a variety of phone cases.

whose words only ever got twisted.
(spoke in other forms though)
Running from what?
Nothing. And everything.
Until they fell off the edge - or flew-
and plunged into an epiphany where words can’t
even translate,
can’t touch you.
“Don’t you come looking for me”
on the wind.
New painting commission + original sketch. 16x20 acrylic painting on wood. Check out the time lapse painting on my Instagram or on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXnUO5QHHTQ
Tribal Hillary - I find her face fascinating and never the same from one time to the next. Sort of like every wrinkle and line telling us what she has been up to on any given day. I see a lot of fighting spirit in her, which inspired this portrait.
While on my drive home, at each red light, I drew in my sketchbook without looking. All shapes and things were from things I was seeing as I drove home. I then colored it in.
