I have been wanting to explore the concept of creating a Vitruvian Women. Also felt like I struggled with the composition of the Reflect piece (which I am working on developing a series). Hence trying to learn from the best - in a scientific way:)
This started as some scribbling with Inktense pencils on large plain drawing paper. Then I was done, I wanted to wet the the drawing to release the "ink," but I found that the paper would not take water without drastic buckling. So, it remains a drawing rather than becoming a painting.

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. Had prints made and just found them again - so I added them to my website ~ which is still a work in progress. Please visit and let me know your thoughts! Next is to add more originals and prints. I am not done with the print on demand but fill ht need I need to add more.
Her poetry was awesome to illustrate - eerie and mystical. She has also written some books https://elizabethzimmers.wordpress.com/about/

The Gospel reading was very long, so everyone in the frame was standing still for a good while. I was really looking forward to our spring class People in the Park because I haven't done much figure work. It was postponed of course, so your constructive criticism is welcome.
So I wanted to challenge myself and do some sketching. I went through so many challenges and decided on 2017 inktober list. Mine will be in pencil and will probably be 1 sketch every 2 days. I wanted to continue adding to this one so bad but my 2 days are up!
Annuals are encouraged to seed in the less formal beds in our large garden.
We tend them, photograph them, and I draw and paint them. This is a colored pencil (Prismacolor) drawing of one of our seedling poppies. It was an odd form. Not exactly a single, nor a double and lacked the common cross markings in the throat.
I think about times when talking on the phone was a thing and you’d be on for hours only to end up to infamous game of who hangs up first. Graphite, charcoal, and pastel on paper 11x14inch
