Wanted to spread some happy, bubbly thoughts throughout this time. Fun casual sketch.

So I wanted to challenge myself and do some sketching. I went through so many challenges and decided on 2017 inktober list. Mine will be in pencil and will probably be 1 sketch every 2 days. I wanted to continue adding to this one so bad but my 2 days are up!

I wanted to design a character for my story, so I messed around with different designs until I eventually came up with a good character design concept.

For my first upload I wanted to upload a quick blind contour I did in my sketchbook of my favorite bird - the Northern Cardinal

I wanted to try a slightly different style, and I think it turned out nicely. Character is from Revolutionary Girl Utena

I am really suprised how this turned out I was expecting something totally different but love the result and wanted to show my progress

2015 - I wanted to try watercolor painting in a more realistic way, but this is as realistic as it can get. Sadly, I chose to ignore the nose part, in my fear of ruining everything. Although, I must say, I was happy and proud of the outcome of this attempt. ❤️

I was feeling really sad and scared, and the weight of the world's crisis weighed heavy on me, so I wanted to paint something lovely and bright. Acrylic on Kraft cardstock

Peter took His Eye off Jesus and began to sink. Medium: Acrylic on canvas Size: 11”x 15” Date: 2019-2020 This illustration is one of nine, in a mural about the ministry of Christ. This image is block number 7. This painting illustrates Jesus rescuing peter, as he start to sink in to the sea, because he lost his faith when took his eyes off Jesus, and focused on the violence of the winds and waves of the storm. Matthew 14:22-33 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Jesus Walks on the Water 22 Immediately He [a]made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away. 23 After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. 24 But the boat was already [b]a long distance from the land, [c]battered by the waves; for the wind was [d]contrary. 25 And in the [e]fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. 26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out [f]in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” 28 Peter said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!” When I did my research, I Found very few biblical accurate illustrations of the event. Very few captured the darkness and valiance of a stormy sky taking place at 3:00 am in the morning (which is the forth watch of the night. Many illustrations I found, their skies were too bright and calm. I found that the seas in these illustration had the same lack of movement and violence, the sea would have in a storm that was so strong the disciples were not able to make any headway in their crossing the lake. I notice that all illustrations of Jesus walking on water, show the viewer His feet. In reality the waves would most likely block the viewer from seeing his feet on top of the water. The unavoidable black eye in most of these illustrations of Jesus walking on water, is the ridicules and unrealistic possess they have Jesus in, of Him rescuing Peter. You know the ones where He is making some kind of sign with one hand, as it is held up toward the sky, and one hand reaching down to peter. What was I trying to accomplish in my illustration? I want to be careful, to being accurate with costumes styles, and colors worn by the poor people of Galilean society. I wanted to be accurate in illustrating a storm on the sea of Galilee. I looked over numerous photos on line, of storms taking place on the Sea of Galilee. To understanding how the water and sky behave during a storm I studied the colors of sky, clouds, and water, during these conditions, in this location of the world? Showing movement in the air and the water. I used stylist brush strokes, to create movement in the sky and in the water. I am hoping to make people feel the storm’s violent energy. Showing power of the wind blowing against the bodies of Jesus and peter, through the movement of clothes, and hair. Showing the anxiety of Pete, with his body swallowed up to the waist, his face looking up to Jesus to rescue him from drowning. Showing that Jesus offers security to Peter, from being swept away by the wave of the sea. By his secure grasp of Peter’s back arms. He is able to lift Peter out of the water. The message I want my view to receive, is that everyone who comes into the world will experience trials and tribulation. We can overcome our fears and be filled with courage, to enable us to battle our ways through these storm in life. In this series called Identity (Identity), inspired by the people and the diversity of New York, I wanted to capture this diversity, the statics, the glamor, the fashion, the ethnicities, the culture and the splendor of this magnificent city.

The finished piece is 24 x 32 inches on 300lb. hot-pressed watercolor paper ~painted with watercolor and ink. There were a lot of components I wanted to incorporate in this piece. Then, the painting kept "going". It moved of its own accord in places I did not anticipate, and I kept going with it....people that I know/have known intertwined in my mind as I painted the tree branches. Overall, the painting took on so many meanings to me as it matured

Wanted a retro sci-fi feel for this one. Done as a commission.

Size 4' x 5' Painted on canvas Medium acrylic painted 1995 In this illustration i am trying to portray how active the spiritual world is in every day of our lives. How heaven and hell, these two kingdoms are battling it out to win our devotion. Even when A person chooses to become part of God's family, the believer will still have to struggle with the forces of darkness as long as we live in these mortal bodies. The room is suppose to look like it's on fire. This is to represent the destiny of man, spending eternity in the lake of fire, if he refuses to be saved through God plan of salvation. the two people in this paint are the two leader of the two kingdoms. The Devil on the left, Jesus on the right. They are both standing at the door way that will lead to their kingdoms. They are both beckoning the viewer to go through their door. In this painting I want the viewer to understand that spiritual battle take place with every decision we face. When we come to a spit in the road our we going to choose the right road or the wrong road? What ever road you Choose will sooner or later reap the reward. The reward will either be destruction or blessing, the blessed think is we choose I illustrated the devil in a beautiful purple robe with gold sequence , To show He is the king of the fallen angels. Purple in the Bible was worn by king and governors and ruling authorities. The purple hood is to show that Satan is a deceiver. He will take truth and twisted into a lie , kind of the way a person will put poison mix in peanut butter to get rid of an unwanted mouse. Most people don't recognize when the Devil is temping them, because the only view of Him they have is the movie the exorcist. But He is more effective when He appears in the form of a used car salesmen. The gold belt He wears and the golden door way represent His tactics to side tract us with the love of temporal thing such as the love of money , fame, power. If a person gain the whole world yet loose his soul what has he truly gained. Illustrated Jesus dressed in a golden Robe with a golden sash. This represent He is the High priest who offered the sacrifice that appeased the requirement to deliver man from the power of sin, and restore man back to fellowship with God The Father. The door way to heaven is made up of the cross that Jesus gave His life on. If you look at the painting closely you will see holes in Jesus hands and feet. You also can seen on the cross from the blood and the spike marks where Jesus was nailed to the cross. The devils door has endless darkness of Hell , where Jesus' door has endless light of heaven. The rocking chair was designer to represent contemplation. Their are hearts with question marks in side them on the head rest as well the seat. I think of people sitting in their rocking chair when they have a big decision to make. So i think before we make decision, we should thing what will be the fruit down the road. If I plant thistle when it grows up it will hurt me . If i plant wheat, when it grows up it will feed me.

A gouache painting I did of some amethyst Crystal's. Wanted to draw something other than flowers today.

Recently re-watched.....a....certain...movie.....and felt persuaded to do this. I really liked the art style (not that i could do it myself) and wanted to try it in my own way. If you know what movie i'm talking about then feel free to comment it; i'm interested to see how many there are. Also, i would love some feedback on my art, this is the first one i've done with words in it sooo hopefully it "works".

I was in one of those moods where I wanted to paint something majestic. I guess this is what happened. Finished January 6. Please check out some of my other paintings as well! I would also love to hear your opinions!

Another little fox drawing. I loved the reference picture and wanted draw a smiling fox. Even was the first time I tried to draw the nice fure... red, orange, yellow, brown, mahogany makes the wonderful red fure which I do love.

That time when age finally caught up to the feisty Maester at Castle Black, Aemon Targaryen. He cries out to ’Egg’, his brother once in a while and at one point said, ‘Egg, I dreamt I was old!’ - Not all old people are frail, some are healthy and hearty and incredibly robust and sturdy! At first I couldn’t decide whether to draw Maester Aemon or Jojen Reed, who despite being young, also grew frail as he helped Bran across the Wall to help him find the Three-Eyed Raven. I finally decided to save that one for another Inktober word prompt. I did wanted to draw Maester Aemon and honor the actor who played him, Peter Vaughn, who passed away in 2016.

My first commission, they wanted a pretty plain pink sunset picture.

So I worked for a few hours on a drawing of McCree that I was going to post today. However I am a dummy and didn't save anything since the sketch layer and then my drawing program crashed.... :'( So new plan! I had this old painting of D.Va I never finished but I really wanted to post it! So I kinda quickly finished it up and here she is! This is one of my first attempt at digital painting so it's not great but I am pretty content with it.

Didn't get a chance to finish the piece I wanted to for today's Inktober. I decided to finish up an old piece that I have had sitting around for awhile. Just some quick shading. Will hopefully be able to finish my other drawing tomorrow.

I wanted to make a combination of both my BTS bias and my favourite song of theirs.

Went off a different prompt list today because I really wanted to draw something chill. Also I wanted to do some reference pose practice. PIntrest is a god send for trying to figure out how body's move. XD. This one is much more simple since I wasn't too focused on finishing the full color. Instead I played around with a few of my drawing programs tools. Tried to use its coloring mask, patterns, and texture brushes to get a simple yet readable mood.

Day 1 of Inktober! I went off the official prompt list for this one and the prompt today was Ring! I know it's digital and in color so I'm probably breaking all the rules. However I wanted to use this Inktober to practice my digital art as I would really like to get the hang of this display tablet! Probably won't have anything as "finished" for everyday this month but I kinda fell in love with this alien girl and wanted to do the whole shibang! Or well at least half the shibang.

Back in May, I wanted to do the #mermaychallenge, an online event where artists draw and share their mermaid illustrations during the entire month of May. But I knew I had limited time, with everything happening that month (buying new home/moving/fixing up the old home to sell), and a fulltime job. I created Mer-Kat, a hybrid kitten/mermaid. I felt this was such a fun new character to explore. Life underwater with a feline-based personality.

An idea someone wanted me to draw... :)

I fell in love with the neon/technicolour aesthetic a while back and wanted to give it a try - fun journey outside of my comfort zone
