05/02/17 - an example of one of the drawings in the first month of the drawing a day challenge

I took part in Jake Parker's instagram Inktober event making a drawing everyday of October; these drawings eventually turned into one larger drawing by the end of the month.

Currently exploring image making with fountain pens: immediate mark making, no pencil, no eraser. I'm enjoying the discovery process and embracing the stray mark made with semi-blind contour and continuous line drawings.

I have been opening up my sketchbook, and drawing while not looking at my lines. I then color them in and add words for personal reflections.

I did a series of these line drawings on handmade paper from an old book and then put shellac over them.

Ballpoint pen drawings

I love Alice in Wonderland and decided to do a couple of drawings. Sharpie, pen, pencil, and colored pencils were used on this.
