Switching things up a bit. Trying out different art techniques. This was sketched in pencil and colored with watercolor pencils. I created this character randomly while I was doodling one day. She still needs a name.
Tried to follow some art propmt lists this October to get my creativity going again. Abandoned this particular list a couple of days in, but I really like this sketch. Pencil on paper.

This started out like other doodles of mine, but quickly morphed into something a bit more deliberate and complicated.
I've been here for 2 months and somehow I haven't drawn something spiritual. Time to switch from doughnuts to god. This is a drawing of an angel. I think I'm also going to start drawing my stuff like this. Let me know what you think.
(2B pencil on an A7 page) This is one of eight images I used in a small booklet I made about "The Little Black Book" and the contacts and comments people would write in such address books. This one is of a pirate. Others include a superhero, an alien, a witch, an angel, and a cat. So I did one of these with a couple of friends over on dA, where we each sketch something then ink the lines of someone else, and digitally colour the third, and as they both chose to draw their characters I scrapped the squid-creature idea to jump on the bandwagon as well! I need no excuses to draw Verus
I started with watercolor and watercolor, but then realised I needed a more opaque black and switched to gouache, acrylic and brush pens for the final touches. Most of the original looseness was lost after that, however he looks more accurate now I think.
