Wow, its been a while since i was on here. Hope everyone is doing fine with Covid and all. Trying to get into the Spoopy season a little with some Spoopy wings....
The Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a subspecies of gray wolf once native to southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico, western Texas and northern Mexico. Its ancestors were likely the first gray wolves to enter North America after the extinction of the Beringian wolf, as indicated by its southern range and basal physical and genetic characteristics. I was in one of those moods where I wanted to paint something majestic. I guess this is what happened. Finished January 6. Please check out some of my other paintings as well! I would also love to hear your opinions!
A few years ago, I followed a Mooc about game design et so, I created a character named Will, a little spirit able to change his appearance depending of the pumpkin he possess.
So, he could become intangible (the ghost), fly really high (the bat), climb and manipulate object (the cat) and bowl over obstacles (the wolf).
So for last Halloween, I decided to redraw them for a fake video game screen.

Il y a quelques années, j’avais participé à un MOOC sur le game design et j’avais ainsi créé le personnage de Will, un petit esprit capable de changer d’apparence selon les citrouilles qu’il possédait.
Il pouvait ainsi être intangible (le fantôme), voler très haut (la chauve-souris), escalader et manipuler des objets (le chat) et défoncer des obstacles (le loup)
Du coup, pour Halloween, j’ai voulu les redessiner pour un faux écran de jeux vidéos.

Hey everyone, sorry for such a long hiatus! The main reason is that I haven't been drawing so I had nothing to post. I also went through a name change, from BurningCinders to Umbra! For this piece, I played around with some new brushes and attempted to play with fog for the first time.
Ornament - according to dictionary.com: an accessory, article, or detail used to beautify the appearance of something to which it is added or of which it is a part: architectural ornaments
-any adornment or means of adornment.
That time when Lord Commander Jeor Mormont have Jon Snow his family sword, Longclaw, but change the pommel from his house sigil of a bear to a direwolf.
The direwolf is a neat ornament on Longclaw!
That time when King Robert visited Winterfell to see his old friend Ned Stark.
The word ‘husky’ according to dictionary.com means ‘big and strong; burly’ which Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark are!
And I couldn’t help but put a direwolf in there, which can sometimes be mistaken for a husky!
Inktober 10 Pattern
Pierre (from my novel Pierre and the wolves, yes, the pun is on purpose, it even work better in french), while he was searching for the pattern in the werewolf attack he has been a victim of when he was a child.
He will find.
