I am an artist/educator as well as a musician. I have worked in many different mediums over the years and enjoy making art that is guided by my muse. For many years I found myself working in ceramics as well as sharing that love with students from all walks of life. Currently I find my muse interested in colored pencil and line drawings and so we have the body of work which has come from that being uploaded here for your viewing. Hopefully it will bring you joy and inspiration as it does me.

Lanterns. Whimsical illustration - Day 9.

Another version of lantern illustration. I wanted to redraw the last illustration. But I changed the concept while drawing. It's a beauty of creativity - it can surprise. The most important thing here is that I feel so happy when I draw illustrations in this style

Lantern. Whimsical illustration - Day 8.

I'm working on details and silhouettes. It's the first concept of illustration with a lantern. I'm going to do more in that style with even more details. Redrawing finished works is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and see progress. Have a lovely Wednesday!

I feel only positive emotions after drawing this landscape. It's a bit wintery, snowy, and magical. I love the background texture. But I still need to work on the details. Recently, I discovered the miraculous power of gouache. I ordered paints a few days ago (still waiting for the shipment). That's why there are only digital versions for now. I have already purchased a course on the Domestika platform. I'm going to try my skills at traditional painting on paper. It will be a big challenge. Fortunately, I have a great teacher :) Thanks, Ruth Wilshaw, for your Domestika course and daily inspiration to create! Day 6 of #whimsicalByMamaminia art challenge.

This time I managed to get the result I had planned. I made a second attempt at drawing a magic tree. There is much more detail in this illustration. I'm satisfied. It was a great opportunity to develop my drawing skills.

I fell in love with gouache paintings with a whimsy touch when I discovered Ruth Wilshaw. It's my first attempt at creating an illustration with a whimsical accent
