Monochromatic portraits using blue gel pen
1st drawing for March 18 - part of the drawing a day challenge
My Vintage blue floral pattern print was designed for fabric. Originally drawn in black & white line, the blue adds a vintage feel and reminds me of the blue and white china of yester year.
Another batch of sketches from my time in the album recording session earlier this week. Noodler’s ink blue loaded in my fountain pen, then applying a bit of water with a water brush. I like the bleeding that occurs.
ballpoint biro portrait
Ballpoint pen drawing on an antique stock bond.
A drawing which required some sharpening of a mechanical pencil. Just to get that needle-sharp drawing tool. I'm not the only one doing this, right?
Original Spray paint and acrylic painting on 16x24 stretched canvas
Layer patterns with Sharpies.
Fat little birds make me smile! The Eastern bluebird is a North American migratory thrush. My subject is a male with the most luxurious neck rolls! Drawn in Prismacolor soft core colored pencils on toned tan sketch paper.
Tryin to be a little less rigid and a bit more fun :) :) (recoloured version)
Mixed media collage in progress.
Inktober 2020, day 11: "Disgusting". A license not to do the dishes thanks to art! :D
Although I got too carried away trying to capture the reflections to really capture the effect I was after. Also, even though I try to do a line drawing and ink it, my painterly sensibilities keep coming through. When I get a brush pen, I use it like a brush...
It is day 14 of inktober2020 and I couldn't resist the prompt Armor.
