Stone Church in Winter

Painted original (watercolor on watercolor canvas) about 15 years ago. Wasn't satisfied and so I put away forever. Except, not forever. Have started a project of revamping old paintings that were not quite right, and that now seem salvageable. This was the first. Worked on it for a few minutes a few days a week for a few months, never going too far. Goal was to improve not recreate. Kinda having fun with this new project. Artists tend to do this, take a new tact, find a new route.

The pink moon and silhouettes

I just saw the moon which, I think, looked like it was pink. It was probably the trick of lights of the evening, but it looked mesmerizing. So, here is my rendition of the pink moon of an evening.

The Happy Party People

(HB pencil on a 139mm x 87mm postcard) It's not surprising that the pandemic would inspire me to do a work such as this. How could it not? It shows both the growing need for social interaction people have in isolation, along with the need to protect themselves. These two things have come together in a piece depicting a strange group of gate-crashing party-goers.

Label Labour Hues, March 2021.

Whenever I think of tags and/or labels for people, be it things like ‘gammons’ or ‘snowflakes’ et al, narrowing it down to a single person who represents that group is always running a fool’s errand in my opinion.

Rain Of Psychiatry

I was inspired to do this after seeing a work in a Dk art book. This is about the relationship I had in the past with my doctors. Today, I have moved past the fighting and I work with these people.

A pen and ink of an old building which is near me.

An old lime kilin. These were used to make fertiliser for farming, before the introduction of chemical fertilisers. They made lime out of burnt charcoal. They are not used any more.
