Believe it or not, Jester has been around for at least 3 years, way before I made this account! His original design was actually supposed to be organic, not an actual robot. Very neat.
My drawings lately have been more pixelated because I've been drawing on a different software than usual. I've been drawing on aggie.io with my friend, which is where I do most of my drawings because I am otherwise unmotivated. This will be changing soon! I got a new computer with a TV for a monitor! It's way easier to draw and runs much faster.
I really struggle with the sumo wrestler pose. Difficult perspective and proportion as the body should lean forward. Difficult volume as a sumo wrestler is some kind of maximal volume of a body. Difficult balance in crouch position.
This is just a doodle, nothing special. Basically Tam and Keefe in a nutshell. I am THIS CLOSE to finishing Unlocked, which makes me sad and happy at the same time. Sad, because I am going to have to wait who knows how long for the next book to come out. Happy because I can now look at and watch whatever I want without any spoilers. So yeh. my first ever piece of art i sold was this piece, i think around 2012 when i started going into more illustrative based work. its great to look back and see the progression and level i have progressed. i remember thinking this was the best i could do but now if i did something on the same level i wouldnt be so happy. i got a lot of good feedback off this piece and do plan on recreating it one day :))...
