So, I got contacted by some suppossedly American guy for a commision on his son's dog. He sent a couple of pretty nice pics of it and I did this sketch. In the end it all turned out to be a very ellaborate scam, which I luckily realized before any harm was done. At any rate, I loved drawing this dog and I didn't even know I could create this because it's totally different from what I usually do. I value the experience I got out of this, overall, but be cautious out there. I've been victim to scam attempts four times in a month lately. Instagram is a wild place right now.
I drew this illustration without any expectations. It's not perfect, but I'm happy I created it. And I share it.

I got inspiration from my first gouache painting.
After a few minutes of research on Pinterest, I got the Eureka Moment!
"Hmm... Maybe I should draw the twisted tree from my painting, which will be full of stars on its branch?"
And here it is - the final look. I like it!
It's my third illustration with a lantern theme.
I had doubts while drawing this illustration. I changed the concept a few times. And I'm not sure if I got the expected effect.
But I'm not afraid to share it and say: "this illustration could be better."
It gives me the motivation to work harder.
It gives me reasons to push myself forward.

I'm playing a lot with the background texture. I'm discovering the power of brushes from Krita Software.
I fell in love with the gouache texture effect.
I like the silhouettes in this illustration, but the leaves could be better. I need to find a good brush for drawing leaves faster and with ease.
Or maybe I should try some other techniques?

I began with the intention of creating a mandala, but it evolved into what looks like a cell. In my notebook next to this it says, "If the cells in my body were a reflection of my outward exterior, this would be a perfect representation." Long story short, i was drawing with my baby cousins. I leave for a few minutes and come back to my art scribbled over. She was the one who drew all those random scribble and lines on the paper. And i also messed up on the outfit. If you have any tips let me know please!!
