Hibernation time has definitely come to an end on this part of the globe. It is now time to eat the world and so this one decided to bring himself to life and cast some magick around. Drawings are a very powerful tool for that. This is the first bear that I have ever created on paper and I don't know much about why he came out like this but I'm sure that he knows very well all about that. He is the sigil and I trust his eyes
These patterns are all made from drawings pulled from my 2017 sketchbook project. I studied fiber arts in grad school and learned how to do repeat patterns - the old fashioned way by cutting and taping paper together... I haven't done any in 25 years - until this month!

The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. I don't remember her original outfit so I made her a new one.Gave her pigtails because why not?I guess she still looks like a stickman because she was one back in the day! finally..she has a name!her name is Chrissy Temple! In addition, dusting is avoided on New Year’s Day, for fear that good fortune will be swept away.
This is quite a ubiquitous scene, fresh garlands mainly of fragrant jasmine, marigold, rose and mango leaves, hang outside temples so the pious can buy them as offerings just as they enter.
