Sloths have an unusual method of camouflage. Cracks in their hair allow many different species of algae and fungi to grow which makes them appear green. Some species of fungi living in sloth fur have been found to be active against certain strains of bacteria, cancer and parasites! Sloth hair also provides home to an entire ecosystem of invertebrates ⁠— some species of which are found nowhere else on earth (like the ‘sloth moth’). Yesterday’s Magnetic Fields gig and current affairs fuelled the flames for this one, as did pink dolphins.

My son had an assignment of creating a poster to remind people of this fun fact to reduce the number of unwanted animals being released into the wild or onto the streets. This was my impression.

My girlfriend's words inspired this one, for which I’m forever grateful! :-P :-D

A great deal of upheaval in my personal life, including making steps to better my mental health as well as reflecting on changes in my work life (potentially) and also my living situation, have dominated my headspace as of late. Long story short, Buddha reminding us all to still any madness in life got me to work here as did the obvious itch to get some drawing done!
