The Dark. How are other people finding time to draw with the schools closed and your four year old on top of you 24/7? There's a story by Lemony Snicket called The Dark. I really enjoyed making the closet shadow, so there you go. This actually started with my raincoat beckoning to me for many days.
This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. A predator reduced to bone but not to silence. The body is gone, yet the motion remains — jaw open, spine curved, still moving through water that no longer needs flesh to carry it. This is not a fossil resting in sand; it is a hunter that never learned how to stop.
The ocean keeps its shape alive. Instinct outlasts life.
Some creatures don’t die — they continue.
A quiet moment before escape.
Time is counted, tools are gathered, and the destination is already marked.
The treasure isn’t taken yet—not because it’s unknown, but because patience is part of the journey.
Sonic Boom was a decent, self-aware show; though I may be giving it extra points for having a rare Fawlty Towers reference lol. Also a rare drawing I did straight digitally as opposed to drawing on paper first. Still prefer paper. Old habits die hard!

To be honest, wasn’t too happy with how this turned out but it’s just practice. I know I’ve got to draw like a thousand more noses to really get something decent lol. If you have any tips on how I could get better, let me know!
