I did this piece for Christmas. I got some Princeton brushes as a gift, so I figured I’d make a painting (Princeton brushes are awesome, by the way. If you can afford them, buy them). I hope you enjoy, and I will try and post often.

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. This is a pencil sketch I did a while back around the time that I was fascinated by drawing tribal people. They have such an awesome culture which is reflected in how they dress. This image is of a woman which is part of an African culture that stretches their necks using rings.
Way out of my comfort zone today, went to the National Gallery of Victoria to draw, I met a bunch of awesome new people and helped rescue a very tired and dehydrated bat.

I just discovered Chartpak markers and am in love; they are truly awesome to work with. The colors are so rich and never streaky. So if you didn't guess, this was done using Chartpaks and a Gelly Roll Glaze Black pen.
This is a drawing of a random popstar I made up. His name is Alejandro Bolvaire and he has the voice of Danny Gokey. XD (Danny Gokey is awesome -- give him a listen sometime) Anyway, Alejandro here is mostly crayon, but his hair and shades are colored with brush pens. He has an ink pen outline. For mine, I had to draw a monster called a "niter" based off of his description:
"Niters communicate in whispers. Nocturnal. Shy away from light. They’re black and oily and emanate a bluish glow. Large, looming 6 foot shadow things with massive hind legs, clawed for climbing trees and they have ‘maws’ instead of arms, claw-like appendages they stab people with and only one gaping blue eye. Their mouths open up and they swallow their victims whole."
What's funny is that I didn't see the fact that they emanate a bluish glow until now. So, the glow from the eye is purely by coincidence. Figuring out the hind legs of this creature was difficult, and so I sought reference images, and of all things, the koala turned out to be a pretty good reference.
For a while, there, it was looking like Carnage from Spiderman, but I toned down the reddish-hue a bit. The intention was to give the appearance of motor oil.
So, now to find out how badly I failed at drawing this...
This art trade was fun, though, and I would do a similar one, again. But I am le tired.
The 3rd Luminous Mystery, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus taught many beautiful teachings about the Kingdom of God and how to live a life of virtue and the rewards of such a life. He wants us to fully enter into the Divine Will because he loves us so much and wants to be powerfully present in our lives in order to heal and strengthen us. He loves us and in this mystery we meditate upon his enrapturing and beautiful Word, which is Himself. He gives us His word because he wants to give us Himself. God is too awesome! ^_^ Fiat
A steam titan from the elder age, long forgotten. But this mammoth of gears and levers has not fogotten it's purpose. It delves through stone, and rock and mineral and earth. It hasn't stopped since the master's last order. The very nature of this machine is loyalty itself. Sometimes the scavengers follow it, picking up the remains it leaves behind in its search. What is it searching for? The center of the Earth? Nirvana? Hell for us ?
Many a strange thing lay in the world of Nornwan. Was it always so? Mayhaps...
