Nero extra soft oil based pencil is a great doodling and sketching tool that I have been using for a couple of years. Not smudgy and delivers good lines.
A quick sketch of a man holding a cup of coffee. This was drawn from a reference photo. Lately I've been practicing portraits. Trying to limit myself to 20 mins or so and just draw the basic form as best I can. Otherwise I'll fiddle with the details and spend hours trying to adjust things. Sketching in ink helps also since I can't erase. Need to get more comfortable sketching faster, but I like the way this turned out.
Ive been trying to draw human faces as its something i dont do as much normally. Its something ive really been enjoying though, its fun adding silly details and different ideas that can form from it.

In all, I have created 11 illustrations: apple, apricot, banana, cherry, grape, lemon, orange, pear, plum, tomato, watermelon. Using rapidograph to form the shape, I am coloring my works digitally in Adobe Photoshop. Here is an apricot!

So the other day I had a beautiful conversation about lucid dreaming with some friends. We shared amazing dream memories that we all had experienced and right the next day this sleeping beauty started showing up on a piece of paper.

I saw on the Samantha Bee show that there's an association between vintage cartoons and minstrelsy, and I can't stop thinking about it now. So I drew some mean looking white person mice in retaliation. These are your suburb mice that are complaining that the Whole Foods line is taking too long.
I also like using just black ink. Lately, I've been using this Platinum Preppy extra fine for my doodling. I like how different kinds of pens and tools can sometimes give different art.
Lately, I have been working primarily on the computer to wrap up a coloring book that I just published. I've decided to make August about focusing on my sketchbook and discover some new things. I don't really have a direction in mind other than to tackle
