black ink

This is was more of an experiment as I wanted to see what black ink would like on paper with an "aged" like background. I think it came out quite nicely but I also think that the black ink might seem a bit too bold. I'm not really sure.

Practice in crosshatching and drawing skulls in black ink pen, its not perfect but we are getting there folks! Also, special thanks to fellow doodle addict ❀Misti❀ for her awesome crosshatching tutorial, girl you are awesome!

This started off as a black ink drawing, but after scanning into my computer, I played around in Pixelmator to add the background and some effects to achieve the final result. This was going to be my first attempt at either Inktober ot Artober. Many thanks for looking !

I have a Webtoon called The Peculiar Scribble. I am completely redoing and rebooting the series. The series only has one chapter at the moment. But I didn't like the start of it, so I'm giving the chapter and the rest of the series a fresh new start. I will hope to have the whole chapter posted to Webtoon by the end of the month. This is a sneak peek of the comic cover art. This character means a lot to me and comes from the very depths of my black inky soul.

Using an old blank work diary as a sketchbook. This piece is mostly done in 2B & 6B graphite pencil with outlines in black ink.

Tree done with black ink, leaves with blue and yellow inks (wet in wet technique). I really like how the leaves turned out.

Trying my hand at some character design with the intention of eventually modeling it. Only the front view so far. Still have some painting to do to get rid of the rather "designy" black ink outline. Then on to the side view, then to POLYS!

Inspired by one of my cats who is black with bits of tortoiseshell coming through. I used black ink and apricot Crayola crayon for this.

White raven created with graphite pencils, HB pencil, Winsor and Newton black ink, acrylic paint, white gel pen and Crayola crayons.
