Christmas Bow with bells and garland

Reflecting on the current pandemic, only to realise things this time last year gave plenty of us something to gripe about too... How times seemed simpler then.

An experiment to see if I could represent decay using line. I learned a lot.

Comment and suggestions welcome! Pen in my notebook. I had fun figuring out how to create a sense of depth.

Keeping things together and setting records straight.

I figured it'd be a while until I draw (in full detail) ALL of the Altitone band members, so I made each one a sprite. Their names are (from left to right): (The first one is a base), Elizabeth the hot pink cat, Preistor the sky blue rabbit, Altor the golden bear, Bruce the green mouse, Lexibo the violet elephant, Mary the short red fox, Dexter the blue-gray Racoon DJ, and the three cheerleaders: Rosette the crimson mouse, Oopsie the russet fox, and Pastelle the cotton candy short-eared rabbit. On the very bottom are the instruments. In order, they are Elizabeth's mic, Preistor's guitar, Altor's drum set, Bruce's mic, Lexibo's piano, Mary's oil drum (not an instrument, but Mary hides her bottom half in the oil drum, sort of like Looney Bird from The Rock-afire Explosion (which is why she has no legs)), and Dexter's DJ board. The last three are cheerleaders, and their hands have been replaced with cheerleading pom poms. On stage left, we have Dexter and Mary. On the center stage, we have Preistor, Altor, Lexibo, Elizabeth, and Bruce. On stage right is Rosette, Oopsie, and Pastelle. Made with Piskel. (If you're wondering where Jester and Dellusion are, they aren't band members --- but rather seperate attractions (and Jester doesn't even perform.))

Naughty or Nice? It’s okay to be both!

Kind of the icon or logo of Jester's restaurant, "Ringmaster's Pizza Hall". Before it was known as such, we called it "Jester's Mini Jamboree". If you didn't know, Jester has a line of steel dividing his bottom left and bottom right faceplate, which forms one mouth. So, in order to eat (even though Jester CAN'T eat, because he's a robot), he'd need to open those faceplates so he can fit food through the mouth. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

How about something to chase that pesky Arctic Fox of mine?... A wolf.

One of my favorite cartoon tomboys and my favorite character from Recess.This actually turned out well since I took long coloring (as usual) but i'm still considering switching to Photoshop.Everybody should seriously watch Recess,It's an outstanding,delightfully fun,memorable cartoon with a diverse cast of characters (like Hey Arnold)It deserves more love and praise.

Tell that do you will do. "English as She is Spoke" is a delightful example of incompetence and bad judgement. Jose da Fonseca and Pedro Carolina set out to write a Portuguese-English phrasebook. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. Another drawing I did a while ago. We've got Edward (the guy with the phone on his head), Dave (in a newly designed springlock Bonnie suit), Jack (in the springlock Foxy suit), nondescript employee, the man who brought everybody back to life (in the springlock Chica suit), and Henry (in the springlock Freddy suit). In the bottom left corner is a lonely freddy. I'm thinking that the tame part of Dave (the one that was seen in the flipside) will be the Dave we see in a human form, but the bad part (the one in Davetrap) would be sealed inside of Plushtrap, forever bound in a tiny body so he couldn't do anything bad. He lives in the back alley of the pizzaria and is the king of the lonely Freddys. Freddies? Freddy's? Oh well. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Some more stylized withered versions of the Altitone band members, Elizabeth (on the left) and Altor (on the right). Elizabeth has ears but no cameras (which are usually located somewhere on the head (look at stylized withered Preistor for context)), so she is blind. Altor has no ears but a camera (which has been broken off and now sits loose in Altor's disembodied head), so he's deaf. Before version 2 of these guys, Preistor was maroon (once again, look at stylized withered Preistor for context), Elizabeth was teal, and Altor was yellow-green (mostly yellow). Sketching at the Academy (California Academy of Science) with my five year old. This was so fun. There was so much movement that he actually focused on his own sketchbook for long enough for me to get one in. Usually, he's done by the time I put the clips on my book! The Academy and all museums are closed again with SF preemptively joining the rest of the state in the extended stay at home order this past Sunday 12/6/2020. Grateful we got to go several times while it was open.
