I would most definitely be lost if I didn't have my sketchbook to help me process my feelings...this is the product of my most recent therapeutic endeavor. Done with Posca Pens.

Sketchbook #4. Sometime after having watched "ARKANE".

Crosshatching was used to build up the shadows. It's probably my favourite drawing technique. Works best with pen and ink. This is the cover image for one of my children's picture books.

Yep, forever and always.

This year I'm discovering a new art medium - gouache. I'm going to paint more traditional art with gouache and watercolor. Recently I purchased a great Domestika Course by Ruth Wilshaw: "Painting Atmospheric Landscapes with Gouache." to learn and develop my painting skills. And here it's - the result of silhouettes practice. I'm so glad because it's a second attempt at gouache painting. I fell in love with this art medium!

Today's really weird sketchbook doodle features something I've never drawn -- lizards LOL -- inspired by Friday Doodle Club's prompt for this week: "Distracted" "Balancing" "Lizard".

I've started a fantastic Domestika Course by Ruth Wilshaw: "Painting Atmospheric Landscapes with Gouache." It's my first attempt at gouache painting. I'm so excited to try this art medium. I've only painted with watercolors so far. Thank you, Ruth, for your course. I enjoy it so much!

My third attempt at drawing Ellie in her black turtleneck. Ballpoint Pen, ink wash on Moleskine Sketchbook.

I love hilly landscapes. But I'm not good at drawing them. The one thing that I should do is practice. I have to take a sketchbook and draw/paint 100 mountains. The trees also could be better. I failed by drawing details on this illustration. Day 11 of #whimsicalByMamaminia art challenge.
