This is a very early doodle from Astronomy class (that is once again oriented wrong on here for goodness knows what reason). It started as an attempt to draw a decent cat, but abstract flowers encroached as usual. I have this as a print on Redbubble, Society6, Zazzle, and Threadless. I do generally put pen (or some kind of tool), to paper (or some kind of surface), every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one singular location (journal). Here is a successful attempt from that particular day.
I'm also super lazy, which means I never go up to my actual studio and only use what's out on my computer desk.
I started painting with acrylics again towards the end of 2018. On 4x6" canvas wraps, they were so small, but so much fun to paint. I was pleased with this one except for the fact the magentas for the foxgloves weren't as vibrant as I hoped. The location that inspired it is Irfon Forest in Mid-Wales. I can't imagine it's a particularly touristy spot, but it's an absolute hidden gem with extensive views over the Brecon Beacons.

It's easy to forget that cats are actually little ghouls...they want to hunt and kill stuff almost as much as they want to cuddle up with you when it's cold (yes, they are also heat vampires). But they are also complex and amazing little fur-suited people.
The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! Although that may be influenced from Game of Thrones (I miss that show!), 'Dark wings, dark words", as Old Nan used to say! He and the rainbow demonpillar (caterpillar+ demon) are actually related.they like the souls of people and like making other demons laugh to death.he is not as giant as his sibling but he is very tall around 8ft.
The rhododendron in my yard is blooming and my daughter and I love to stare out the window to watch our cats, Squanchy and Beemo, hunt and play in the yard.
