The monsters we create A collection of creatures born from our impact and existance on Earth. This is a work in progress project, it doesn't yet have a name, but the story becomes more clear every day. Soon I will have more details about it, until then take care, this runner is taking a real shape and it's after you. This is a doodle of a number of old buildings in my city Zwolle. This was my view from my old studio.

Went to another city by train with lead time about 3 hours & sketched inside the train

This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. It’s part of a three piece series I made in this color story and can also be seen on my ArtFinder page, available for purchase. @adrianajgarces

My doodle inspired by my home city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I had a wonderful time creating this commision for a Kansas City Personalities wall mural installed in a downtown KC apartment building. The wall measures roughly 12’ x 20’. These were all hand drawn graphite and charcoal drawings that I scanned into my mac and delivered digitally. The file was then enlarged and applied to the wall surface.

Today’s adventure took us to the KC City Market to sketch. We rode the streetcar to have lunch and draw. These are my sketches for the day.

It has been always very hard for me to be a morning person, luckily coffee and doodles in the morning have made the process more fun :)

I've started a new sketch book (one of many, lol), which I am dedicating to ink drawings only. No pencils, no watercolours, just pen and ink :) I drew this doodle today with a Uniball pen and a light ink wash for the space sky. No reference, totally made up. Mistakes and all! Available as stickers and other goodies on Red Bubble. Sketchbook is Stillman and Birn Alpha - I love, love, love the whiteness of its pages!

Part 3 of my China sketchbook from last summer.

Gouache on Arches watercolor paper. I have been living overseas for 6 years now with my wife. (Originally from the states) We have lived in Seoul, South Korea, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Tel Aviv, Israel, and in the Summer we will move once again to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So this is a painting is a sort of self-portrait.

This is part of a broader idea for a big busy city teeming with different characters. Some of those characters will travel deeper through this city and through different lands. Eventually they get back to where they started from.

This is part of an ongoing series.
