This is an extension of my steam of consciousness sketchbook practice. Having fun!

All you have to do is lift your chin up to encounter the most fascinating things in life. What would it take to lift up your chin and talk to the person sitting right next to you. I fear that one day we will forget the very essence of being a human.

Painting about leaving good things behind, and not missing them. It's kind of about aging and moving on. Watercolor on paper, smaller than A3.

White-footed tamarin ( Saguinus leucopus) lives in tropical dry forests, tropical wet forests, primary and secondary forests. Its diet consists of insects, soft fruits, and nectar, plant exudates, prey animals, and flowers.

Tell that do you will do. "English as She is Spoke" is a delightful example of incompetence and bad judgement. Jose da Fonseca and Pedro Carolina set out to write a Portuguese-English phrasebook. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. Copperhead drawing inspired by the year 1861. That year my home state of Kansas was born and the country was split in 2 by the Civil War.

It's never been my practice to stick pins into insects and collect them that way, but drawing them is quite appealing. These are created with Prismacolor pencils and a Micron pen.

Went to a drawing group the other night :) One artist would pose and we drew them.

My latest illustration created for an illustration technique demo video. Oil drawing transfer technique. Watercolor resists the oil drawing on the paper. Sometimes oil and water do mix.

Tattoo design for a friend

I have been working on this A3 double 'Pets in a Portrait' and I can't share the finished piece until after christmas as it will be a gift. I'm so chuffed with it, so heres some sneaky peaks that don't give too much away!
