I modified the challenge a wee bit. I didn't use the same paper for the various drawings since I was using (top row, left to right) hard graphite pencils (3H to HB), watercolor pencils, (bottom row, left to right) brush pens and ballpoint pen. These media work best on very different paper textures and moisture absorbing qualities. The second picture shows the object of my study --- and the apparatus I use to hold botanical subjects. "Third hand" tools are very useful and cheap. This one was under $10 and serves my purposes well. Just FYI. (Each drawing/painting was scanned and composited in Photoshop.)
. . . Whimsy and nostalgia all entwined in an inky world of discovery . . . This piece was the last piece of artwork my Grandmother got to see of mine before she passed into the Lord's presence this past summer
My mum and i call him morise. (His real name is moritz). he made us delicious tea and coffee in his artstudio. we talked, painted and i drew alot at his place. he turned into family. when i heard that he passed away, i couldnt pick up a paintingbrush, acrylics or watercolours because it reminded me so much of him. now, for this drawing i started to experiment with watercolours again and added it in the drawing. honestly, i cried during the process of painting but i am proud that i dared to use it. i enjoyed to experiment.
thank you so much for reading, wish you a wonderful day !
Alison is a plant person (aloe vera) she and Alfonso are cousins. She unintentionally joined the mob when Parsnip wanted to hire her as cryptanalyst, with no way to escape she and Alfonso eventually became part of Ruthleen's team.she is an expert at breaking codes whenever they need to trespass security in order to move large amounts of money or weapons.during missions she carries her own firearm and wears cargo pants and boots.
Stream of consciousness portrait. Just for fun and... to use of old markers and pens that have been lying around forever. In other words, getting rid of old materials.
1979’s The Tin Drum is one of those films I’ve been itching to see for a long time, but haven’t got round to yet for some reason. The main character in that film’s played by a guy called David Bennent. Not a household name for most, but you’ve seen Ridley Scott’s Legend, you’ll recognise him when he played Honeythorn Gump, Tom Cruise/Jack’s elfin pal.
Not sure why the idea to name this piece after D.B. occurred to me, but it did!
I can't draw guns lol,Ruthleen is a 30 year old crime lord who is in charge of exporting illegal firearms throughout various cities, she also launders lots of money along with her partner in crime Parslip longstem who's a parsnip vegetable. Both bring in millions of dollars in illegal activity.they are wanted for their crimes,Ruthleen and Parslip have a mutual relationship with Taffeliers who is a moody drug lord.Ruthleen came from a poor, dangerous neighboorhood and was raised by a single mother which shaped most of her personality, cold and restrained.
My pen sensitivity has gone on my pen tablet. I think I need to get a new one. In the meantime though, it has been interesting experimenting with the different types of art I can create without the sensitivity, such as these flat characters.
Vent art! Not sure what else to say about this. It's almost my birthday, at the time of writing. It'll be on November 13th. I probably won't post that day, but we'll see.
I’m coming out of another one of those periods where I’ve drew or doodled very little (all the other projects on the go until now!), but as always I got my mojo back in the nick of time, it seems. :)
Same old stuff here for now!
So I just finished “the fault in our stars” by John green and it is very sad. It involves death and there is a song called when am I going to lose you by local natives. Both of them at the same time was overwhelming and It brought up the question, when am I gonna lose the ones I love so dearly?
