Moleskine Doodle - March 2014
It seemed as if the dark that year would never end, and by March we saw a glimmer, it was such a relief. Bit like how we feel now.
(Red biro on a 89mm x 139mm postcard) When technology becomes so intrusive on our daily lives that we feel we simply can't live without it, then perhaps the one-eyed man is truly king.
(black biro on 74mm x 105mm card) When there were more pubs, you'd see many a wandering drunk around the streets at chucking out time. Zombie-like beings with only a strange homing-pigeon instinct left as intelligence.
(Black biro on a 75mm x 125mm notecard) A juxtaposed image of a comic book type image with an unrelated speech caption. The type of thing you tend to hear from those on their mobile phones on buses.
"Floaty Boat Waves In" -- Another WIP detail shot. You can see the magic of Rebelle in these close up shots... bringing the fountain penned ink to life with color.
In response to this week's drawing prompt: Instead of drawing my house, I drew the house from the movie Knives Out. The house acts almost as a character in the movie, setting the stage for one of the best murder/mystery films I've ever seen.
I doodled on an IKEA lampshade. The bulb blew though, so I replaced it with my phone on the inside while using a colorful flashlight app. Video can be seen on my Instagram (@girlagrafi).
A reminder to myself:
On rough days when I feel lost, rudderless, overwhelmed or without direction, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through tough times is 100% so far. And that’s pretty darn good in the scheme of things.
