At first, I had always been cautious with my money, but her pitch was persuasive. She promised a “low-risk” investment opportunity with high returns, backed by what appeared to be credible audits and consistent performance reports. I decided to test the waters by investing $200. To my surprise, I was able to withdraw the money with no issues, which made the platform seem trustworthy. Feeling more confident, I went all in. Over the next few weeks, I invested $25,000 into what I believed were Bitcoin and Ethereum transactions through her platform. The dashboard displayed constant growth. I felt like doing something relatively quick with my Copic markers. This is the view from my front door. Not a very scenic neighborhood, but the sky has been beautiful this week.

I uploaded a version of this that I felt was kind of a throwaway. Just dinking around and trying to get a feel for techniques. In the end, while I was happy with what I learned, I didn't think much of it as far as a completed work goes. But I couldn't leave it alone so I took about another hour and fixed what I felt could be fixed short of starting from scratch. Because it's a process, right?

I’m fascinated in how something may make you feel. For instance, I’m deeply moved by images of outer space from the Hubble space telescope, but I do not try to recreate those photographs in my work. What does not exist in those photos, is how they may make us feel. This is why you won’t see any “realism” in my art. When we send astronauts to space, they can discuss factually what is happening, but what truly moves human beings is when astronauts describe how they felt while they were there. So, I choose to express how I feel, as opposed to illustrate what I see.

It has been a while since I last felt that I had a good day. Got myself together to draw, and the first thing that came into mind was to continue this character design project. Tried a mix between shades of grey, pale blue, with a tint of purple. Overall, the practice in drawing bird anatomy is slowly getting there. But yea... This is not a Blue Jay... I might have went a little too blue.
