I did the water texture according to a tutorial by James Chapman, found on Instagram. The steampunk seahorse was an idea from a lady I am following on Instagram as well (look for @carrieisartsy) This piece is done on a paint chip card with poscapens, a gold marker and fineliners.
This critter's technically unnamed, so if you have any suggestions please comment them, I do like feedback sometimes lol. The scene is set on an eco-planet, somewhat like a zoo but more future tech-y. The ring in the sky is a sort of shield against any stray space rocks as shown. Hope you like it. I've been working on drawing My character, Florin and his dearest companions his queen and bodyguard today. They're from a northern mountainous kingdom that reveres birds especially corvids of all varieties.
This was a really fun piece I did a while back for the Florasona challenge that was going around. I used a few different plants as inspiration. Ashwood blossoms/berries, calla lilies, tulips and morning glories.
Again, mixing some colors to get greens: 1) cobalt blue (PB 28) plus cadmium lemon (PY 35); 2) ultramarine (PB 28) and cadmium yellow. Didn’t see much difference. In the first case there seem to be more hues, though. Funny, cadmium yellow medium and cadmium lemon have the same label: PY 35
