My part in the #Spidersona challenge. This would be me in my universe and my spidersona known as "Night Spider." She is a plus size web comic creator at a small company in Manhattan, NY. She then takes on her vigilante ways as Night Spider. If it wasn't obvious, totally obsessed with the #IntoSpiderverse film.
A recent commission from a patron of mine. They have weekly game #DungeonsAndDragons game nights and wanted all of their original thought up characters in a group shot. I was happy to oblige -- this was both a challenge and so much fun! A total of 13 characters was done, in about 2 1/2 weeks time!

The observational sketch was done in ink. One of my few urban sketches. The grandeur of the entire cathedral was too large for me to capture in my drawing but here's a little of what I did.
I also make electric field art and post it to Redbubble, Society6, Zazzle, and Threadless as product designs. Try this link if you're interested in this pattern on a dress, skirt, shirt, towel, blanket, or something else: https://linktr.ee/okhismakingart
An incorrectly oriented version of "London Flora," a watercolor and marker work I did to show many of the flowers I encountered during a three month stay in London. It is available (right side up) as a print on products on Redbubble, Society6, Fine Art America, Zazzle, and Threadless . A very random doodle I did for warm-up while working on commissions. I don't think it helped much other than working with little line work and stark lighting.
In this photo I drew two Betta fish, a clock and a female in a dark background. Drawing this picture was more of a self expression. The two betta fish expressed conflict; the clock expressed running out of time and the female I guess would represent myself. I was in a dark period while drawing this, but happy to say, I’ve managed to pull through my obstacles =)
(B grade pencil on 125mm x 75mm notecard) Another dreamscape image. With this one, I decided to pick out points of detail whilst having the rest shaded in the background. It works well, even with minimum elements highlighted.
Isn’t this girl something! The eye makeup and the amount and volume of black colour really turned my head. Fur and layers. Red and black hair. Something to draw with ink!
I'm not completely happy with the coloring on this, so I might redo it later. I really wanted to take my hand at the more colorful old comic style for Two Face, but I'm terrible at working with pinks.
Progression 5 of 5. Final Drawing. Overall, satisfied with how this came out. I should have done a better job of the hard lines, especially around the skin. Also, my vision for the background didn't come out quite as planned, but I didn't want it to draw the eye more than the main focus, so I left it lighter and vague. There were a lot of Nike symbols in this piece!
09/20 days, 20 films that made an impact on me. No title, no comment, just a picture. In my case, a drawing.
