This is my old roommate's dog, while she had an upset stomach. Don't worry! She was fine that night (after making a little mess for me to clean up). But for a couple of hours, poor thing lay on the couch looking like she'd just lost her job.
“Hikyaku - literally "fleet feet" or "flying feet." These running messengers played a critical role in delivering items and messages, given that in Japan's mountainous terrain, other modes of transportation, like horses or carriages, weren't very practical.”
I did set up the ingredients for an Easter bread with raisins and nuts, so i could make a sketch of it before i made the dough. While the dough was resting i worked it out in pen and ink.
This is my uncles young blood hound. Her name is Rusty Rolls. She actually looks nothing like a typical bloodhound. She is a shiny rusty color with white paws and a few other white markings. She was the only one in her litter that looks this was and one of the most unique dogs i’ve ever seen
Colour and the absent of it. I blend to showcase the innocence of the child through colour attire. And the seriousness is felt in the child hat and the riffle with a strong black.
(HB pencil on a 139mm x 87mm postcard) It's not surprising that the pandemic would inspire me to do a work such as this. How could it not? The background of this painting is applied with paint rollers. The flying creatures were made from paint sprinkles. It was painted on an 18x12” canvas sheet.
