hi

Just thought this would be interesting.

A Brief Pause at the Edge of Becoming It seems I am always seeking a place to sit— not just to rest the body, but to settle the soul. Yet even in stillness, Gary Brecka’s words whisper: “The quickest way to old age is the aggressive pursuit of comfort.” So I do not stay long. I walked until I found a picnic table beneath a canopy of bare-limbed trees, branches like open hands waiting for green. The blue spruces nearby— stoic, unchanged, whispering that some things endure. I sketched. Not perfectly. Not for anyone’s praise. Just a mark to say: I was here. Alive in this in-between. Waiting. Listening. Not for leaves— but for something truer than comfort. Thank you for joining me in this small noticing. A moment borrowed from the rush. A table. A tree. A thought. A gift.

It’s cold and snowy in Kansas City. I’m working inside for a while.

"Baby, I'm the prince of darkness. I spread pain and despair. Darlin' I'm your worst nightmare." -Nox-

The mind of the beast...well enter if you dare. I'm just of bunch of silly things inside my head, some good, some bad, some you might just question.

This is a major redesign of an OC that I came up with a while back. She's a hardened battle general, fighting on the worst day of her life. The assault has failed, soldiers have been lost, and the darkness has used memories of her husband to lure her to her doom. She's not going to go down easy.

The Encanto became one of the most anticipated and memorable cartoons of last year! Because of his intriguing and magical plot, it interested both children and adults. If you haven't seen this movie yet, be sure to watch it! You won't regret it!

We just finished reviewing The Avengers for the holiday weekend... Captain America is a truly magnificent man. But you know who else is amazing? Chris Evans! He’s gonna be the voice of Buzz Lightyear this year, and we’re looking forward to it.

This is my first attempt at drawing something and cutting and repositioning it so it will make a repeating pattern.

Just playing with pastels. This one's tiny.

Activity at the river. Day in the life...sketching journal

Pen

This is a much older concept that I never really finished. Took place long before my editing game was any good.

My kids wanted something for them so I made them this little buddy

I drew this as a gift for my best friend's wedding | Wacom intuos on Photoshop | July 2018

Lindsey's prompt: Paris. This was my first ever attempt at continuous line drawing

Shark witch time :-)

As a teacher, I see the full range of work ethic and value choices. Tatum works while Melanie sleeps. I do not judge because everyone is fighting a battle. I provide a safe place for students to create and breathe and sleep and be. I create a non-judgmental space that often accomodates students and adults who feel free to voice thier opinions... which can often be judgmental. We are fighting battles and we are on our own journies of self awareness. Peace.

The look Beast gives when she sees a slushy.

Fineliner and felt pen on drawing paper.

Is it an E-Bike or is it a Sit on Scooter? Whatever it is I thought it was a cute. love the tiny wheels

Another illustration for today! Great to practice those model styles.

Based off of a real bridge. I've always wanted to sit there with someone I love and drink hot chocolate. I don't think it'll even happen.

Matt Damon is here! We all know him from the legendary role of Jason Bourne in the film series. But what other films with him do you know? Our favorite is definitely The Martian!
