Big-eared Brown Bat (Histiotus macrotus). Hybrid technique (digital enhanced watercolor). This species has large dark ears. The dorsal hairs are strongly bicolored, with black or dark brown bases and yellow tips. Some authors consider that H. macrotus is distributed only in Chile and Argentina. Working on making my cats a little more fun. I added this guy to redbubble and he is available as a sticker and on other items.

I was gifted a pad of Yupo watercolor paper. The color vibrancy is unreal! Definitely a learning curb but the results are so fun. Plus this got me painting again. Working digital is such an easy fall back, but nothing beats a brush to paper.

Progression 3 of 5. Happy with the way her shirt came out; that main wrinkle through the middle of the shirt was exceptionally challenging.

A rock i made for MCRocks hiding (with origami alien on top). I miss rock painting, but no room for more where i live. I have rocks all over my little home. So happy for the DA site which inspired me to just keep doodling!

This was a bird study for a painting. The customer loved it so much that they wanted the drawing instead. That suits me fine. In the end it is what the customer wants that really counts.

This 11" x 14" bold, dynamic, geometric abstract makes a unique statement. Lines and curves, angles and shapes in stark black and white convey the arbitrary, yet methodical . . . random, yet systematic nature of the universe . . . and our lives.

BIC ballpoint stick pen drawing on Richeson bulk drawing paper. This started as a contour drawing and just got squiggly (not the original intent). This was clipped to my board for weeks and I would add a few squiggles from time to time when I wanted to make marks, but didn't have inspiration. It's just a bit under 15 inches (12x18 inch paper) and is probably about 25 hours of making little lines and squiggles. The reference was a Dreamstime royalty-free photo.
