I've started a series in my sketchbook...actually, it's a series inside of a series. The series started as an idea I called "The Hidden Octopus". It's an Instagram account where I post quirky little ideas I draw with my Sharpie and the watercolor it to make it pretty. Then I thought I'd start a series inside of that where I do Song Lyrics that I really like. This is one of the first in that series.

When I read the first book of the "Outlander"-Series by Diana Gabaldon, I was really inspired by the idea of travelling in time through places like Stonhenge. This is what it looks like in my head.

I've burned through 6 weeks straight of non-stop drawing. I think it means I'm healing up from a painful relationship I needed to end. Sometimes we attract someone due to a perceived chemistry. Then one day we wake up and realize that chemistry is acid and this isn't actually love. This is a distortion. And I don't need to walk through this pain anymore. I've actually grown enough to recognize that being alone, without pain, is a thousand times better than being with someone who refuses to recognize their behavior. Some people have no idea that words can do much more damage than a weapon. Words can kill. If you can't control your tongue, then don't speak. Make this a rule for your life if you care for someone.

Many years back, I watched that documentary ‘The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off’ about a fellow called Jonny Kennedy who lived with the skin condition EB. There’s a bit in that film where he talks about what he hopes his afterlife would be like and, for whatever reason, a couple of coffees as I was re-reading the Wikipedia article about it triggered an idea I had to scribble down...

An idea sitting around in my head for some time. It came out today as a sketch, but I still feel that I am not ready to draw this for real. Next time, maybe.

A far-too-common archetype that i have observed frequently in people as they converse with another is one in which an individual uses two layers of defense to protect an otherwise unexamined confusion or emptiness. This relates to a defense of the ego and does not apply to all situations involving anything discussed. First posturing: -A mask (or wall) of mockery is sustained in which the defensive individual behaves flippantly as if in jest. This positioning is a way to be aloof from the situation, using incredulity and belittlement to keep a person or their ideas away from the defensive individual. Second posturing: -A mask (or wall) of rage is revealed after a certain level of perceived threat is achieved internally. This positioning is usually the one the defensive individual maintains when they have given up the argument or the introspection. Not risking an ontological or existential crisis, the defensive individual lashes out with anger, often accusatorily in manner, potentially belittling others further or just plain rushing away in a huff. This is usually the end of the engagement. Third posturing: -The masks (or walls) both come off, leaving the defensive individual to examine the thoughts or behaviors involved in the situation more critically. The defensive individual may find themselves feeling deeply uncomfortable, sad, uneasy, lost, or confused. Thanks to my best friend and art teacher, I am working on this beautiful baby dragon ( names are still being brainstormed) that I have been working on in classes and art club, keep in mind it is definitely not finished but I’m excited to see how this goes! Hope you all like it, any tweaks or ideas are greatly appreciated

This is a pumpkin carving of the infamous Nautilus submarine, owned by the pirate captain Nemo . Who sunk ship that supported war, ramming them with his submarine. In this tale Nemo's ship gets attacked by a monstrous giant squid. I caved this design at the Chadds Ford Historical Society's Great Pumpkin Carve contest and event. This is a live carve event. Artist have no idea what kind of pumpkin they will be given to carve. No knowledge of shape, color, size, or condition. Competitors must create their design with manual hand tools. Cavers have 6 hours to create their master pieces, to be considered to qualify to be judged, to compete for the prize. The size of the average pumpkin is from 200 to 400 pounds, and their wall are about 5 inched thick. It took me 6 hours to carve my pumpkin design. Stephen J. Vattimo 10/18/2021

Tattoo Idea concept

The implementation of the project for the Akademos kindergarten in Poznań has ended. The idea behind the project was to create a jungle staircase in which children will be able to cover something new every day while walking down the corridor. Many animals, reptiles and insects are hidden in the thicket of plants. So that the number of details and small elements does not overwhelm the space, we used a black and white combination with small colorful accents, which are also to stimulate the imagination of children. Realistically painted birds are an additional decorative element, which can be a background for photo sessions. Many thanks to @czapski.gallery for providing colorful paints, as well as to the kindergarten team who supported the activities.

I have been so stressed out the last couple of days that today I completely have drawn a blank as to what to draw and is the reason why I’m posting sooo late today. I don’t know what this is I just decided to put blocks on blocks just to get something out there for today, but if anyone who sees this post has any like simple, ideas that I can do I am all for it; behind this 365 challenge I do drawing exercises like Proko and drawabox , I just don’t post it. Sooooo….yea any ideas would be nice.

I have always liked drawing this shape of flower petals for a long time, drawing flowers was a nice subject to draw since I’m running out of ideas yet again. I also want to try painting on different objects and not just paper and canvas.

I chose to build on the liminality of the door and its status in the imagination as a link between two worlds or identities. In this section I am using the fibres of gloves to create different forms of hands and transparent boxes to represent the idea of space. Through my art I try to express the limited space in which I live, thus focusing on the sense of self that is to be achieved by isolating one's cognitive processes through dialogue with space. The relationship between solitude and space is a subjective process of self-consciousness that involves the absence of social attributes and interaction with others. In other words, it is a non-objective state of space in which the self can find expression. Loneliness therefore manifests itself in a reluctance to approach groups.

I hope to make a funny little book from this idea. Any suggestions?

These to fantastic friends are characters I made 2 or 3 years ago. Gremlin is a mix between a fox (who finds his face ugly) and a goblin who was incredibly smart, and Mr. Brick is a small robot with a living soul that Gremlin created. I was looking through some of the old comics, and decided to make a new Mr. Brick and Gremlin comic, when I got the idea for this disgusting comic. I hope you found it funny, it took a while to make.

Hi! I just now created this page because I have a problem!! I love the idea of drawing (digital, graphite, markers, microns you name it), BUT I never actually get anything finished. It's a curse that has haunted me my entire life. Any good advice on how to stay consistent and follow through with your drawings? This one I've been doodling with Sketchable, using the photo to the left as reference just to eyeball off. I worked on it for a few days and was super inspired and now a year has passed from that (!!!) and It's still in this stage of almost done but I'm struggling with getting back into it..
