Old drawing that I did few years ago

During the lockdown I'm doing a series of cat portraits for Gatti di Roma in Rome. I've auctioned this and all proceeds went to the charity.

Magnolias are spring harbingers in our garden, as well as our annual ornamental cherry display. Star magnolias are over, tulip magnolias are in full swing, and the occasional Southern magnolia is starting. Perhaps I should have done this with a gouache paint, but I used colored pencils. Oh well. Outlined after with various sizes of Pigma Micron pens. Our garden: www.edgewoodgarden.com

Sketchbook, ink, coffee and onion

An illustration of Catwoman from DC Comics. I was in the middle of a number of other pieces and had no intention of drawing Catwoman, but this exact composition somehow popped into my mind out of the blue. Sometimes these things just come to me and I have to do something about it. It basically turned out as I first envisioned it, maybe better. Whenever someone asks me for noodles

This a figurative inspired abstract sketch using layers of pencil crayon. I wanted to express an individuality and togetherness at the same time. I also wanted to experiment with space, shape and depth.
