An interpretation of the final scene of Hansel and Gretel for the Sketchbookproject 2017. Done with coloured pencil, sharpie markers and fineliner.

Gorgeous little Rupert the West Highland Terrier. He was drawn using black fine liners on A4. Love doing the animal portraits... I love it when their little eyes suddenly peep out the paper! Available as an A4 print.

I drew this in my Baron Fig Portals sketchbook while on the plane. We were flying on Turbulent West Airlines.

My Illustrated giraffe used flora and fauna to create the patterns on the giraffe. Drawn with pen and ink, he was great fun to produce!

When I can't think what to draw, I go for graceful symbols and hang lines and other things on them.

Ink on paper.

Experimenting today with an oil transfer drawing technique. The red and purple lines are oil drawn/transferred to hot press 140 pound watercolor paper with watercolor applied. The oil resists the watercolor.

Pencil first. Outlined with ultrafine marker. Started in the middle then grew from there. At first look, I did not like it, but it has grown on me after outlining with markers. Still debating colors.

An illustration based on the book of James chapter 3. Done using a fine liner then edited digitally (for reprint).

I spotted a huge line drawing on YouTube. I was curious about how it feels to draw just lines over and over again. The one on the web was four times as big as this one (on A3 paper). Half way through I started to nod off. Next morning I thought the green

So, I really wasn't going to participate in inktober this year because of time constraints. But I saw some simple line art stuff from others that looked fun. I'll see how far I can make it this year.
