I love the versatility of acrylic paint. You can change the consistency by adding water or acrylic mediums. These additions enable artists to create transparent glazes or thick impasto textures. The fast-drying nature of acrylics makes it easier to correct mistakes or make alterations during the painting process. This painting is part of a three piece set featuring my favorite plants painted on a soft gradient background.

MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND

I was having some creator’s block, so instead of a collage of drawing (you know, besides my phone case being a collage of doodles), I made a collage of objects from my room that I thought described my personality. Comment what kind of personality I have and what object(s) makes you think that!

Some things I saw and drew but didn't share. A friendly dog who wanted to say hello, a bride and a groom on the way to the wedding waiting for the train (she wore plastic slides and had her high heels in the bag), a lost cicada, a book (Sula by Toni Morison was absolutely amazing). Oh and also using dry ice to make dramatic seltzer.

Favorite words. Gloaming. Dusk. For some reason, makes me think of the opening to Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

These are some gesture drawing sketches I did in ink with white pen highlights on brown paper. I was in Europe and sitting around a fountain watching people go about their lives. This was a really fun figure study and I think people make for great works of art.

It's stormy and super windy here in Amsterdam today. Wind so strong it's knocked down trees and can make you ride backwards or lift you right off your bike.

This mixed media piece is what I call a Monday to Monday piece. At the start of each week while working on other pieces I often times have left over paint or want to see how something works out before I put it on the main piece I’m working on so I use a piece of heavy weight paper to test all that on and just keep adding to it through out the week. It also gives me a space to just make whatever I want if I need a break from the main pieces I’m working on.

Challenged myself to make a digital doodle everyday for the month of May to get more comfortable working digitally.

I created this piece yr 2016 as portfolio to get into a company doing sketch card art, but by asking some sketch card artists on this site about how much you get paid for doing this sketch card art`and it was so ridiculous that I decided to not send this portfolio piece to the trading card company also you have to give up your original artwork to the company cuz they need to put this sketch card art in the pack of trading cards so lucky buyer will get the original sketch card that is the idea. For how much they paying the artists for giving up their original art did not make any sense to me . Done 2016 with color pencil and ink on 2.5 x 3.5 bristol. It is sketch card. This is my contribution to a Diversity and Unity Mural. The meaning behind it is how we are all different and have our own backgrounds, but we're all connected to each other like the roots show. We are stronger unified, and our progression in making the world a better place is like this plant, it can only grow with care and under the right conditions. Together we can make a better future, while still keeping our roots because of their importance to our identities.

I like to snuggle up in my hoodie because it makes me feel safe.

This is another illustration with someone just sitting outside enjoying the day or night. This is not someone existing it’s just some female character. Great to make this more elaborate in terms of styles while adding beautiful effects.

This art has been partly inspired by Wednesday Addam's series. She is showcasing her goth personality via her hair, makeup and attire.

Another illustration for today! I will tell you a little story. Once upon a time there was a very bad monstrous employer. They hacked all my emails. Trespassed human rights in every way. Shame none of them made it to be an artist! Haha! They held a grudge and spread it like jam everywhere! I shall make a picture book someday! This is not them by the way!
