I have found my new love in playing with the Glass Ink Pen where I can easily achieve specific lines that are hard to make with a regular pen. Here I am working to gain confidence in my permanent line work where I can't erase every second. I am also working to gain experience in cross hatching. which is very difficult.

So here Is a random doodle I did. But that’s not all why I posted this. I grew up with my dad doing art around me. He’s a makeup artist. He is on here too see if you can find him LOL. He is such a good artist. I guess I had that artist shame of my art not being good enough. I always thought that. Until I realized recently that I have my own style. His style is his! I realized that my art is amazing but I don’t always think that because I watched his art. Also to add, I am not a patient artist most of my art is done in a day. That’s why it’s not the best it could be.

This is just a doodle, nothing special. Basically Tam and Keefe in a nutshell. I am THIS CLOSE to finishing Unlocked, which makes me sad and happy at the same time. Sad, because I am going to have to wait who knows how long for the next book to come out. Happy because I can now look at and watch whatever I want without any spoilers. So yeh. This is someone's OC I drew (the design is not mine. No stealing please.) It's also one of my first attempts at drawing a dragon-like creature. This one, I'm pretty proud of. However, I need practice on drawing scales. Getting them to look right is more difficult than I thought. Overall, super happy with this picture. I hope the image makes your day a little more magical.

For this one, I hate drawing hands so they are awful but mostly I figured out how to make things glow. Recently we had a Worm Full Moon, I layed outside and watched the moon for like a half an hour.

Close to a month ago, I had found out my design was selected for the Art Stop Program, and, yes, this is mainly what I've been working on since. I've never worked on a piece this large before, 72in x 24in, and I rarely make sketches of pieces before creating the final work. It's definitely a cool feeling to look at the finished board and see how the drawing actually came to life. (The Art Stop Program selects a handful of entered designs for the artists to create on a larger board, and these boards will then be inserted into bus stop benches around Niles, IL.) I can't wait to see the bench this will be in, and I'm so lucky I got to be part of the program.

I genuinely can't believe it's already March (I also can't believe it'll be a year since the pandemic really started). Yesterday also marked one year since I started journaling, which isn't an actual major thing, but still. How quickly time flies and how big of a difference a year can make. This isn't a recent drawing, but it's an old favorite of mine. This is Venoct from a game called Yo-kai Watch. When I drew him, I tried to make him look older because I think the actual character is a kid. Anyway, thanks for checking it out!
